Made a reservation for our anniversary. night started off poorly when the host/manager? very obviously changed our table from a normal table to a high top that was directly next to the bar and a swinging glass panel that kept hitting us. Groups next to us were incredibly obnoxious (not the fault of the restaurant thought confusing that they received better service than us). it was so loud that we could not even hear each other talk. waitress and other staff were very nice but inattentive. overall it was obvious that the restaurant catered more to those that they thought would spend more money. Waited easily 45 minutes for our 2 pasta orders while others seated after us were served much quicker. food was unimpressive, salad was good but very simple and overpriced. Cacio e pepe was decent, bolognese was okay, but i’ve had much better for a lower price point. Overall incredibly pretentious atmosphere and would not go back. in fact, desperately wanted to leave the entire time. despite what the management clearly believed, we were willing to spend a decent amount of money had we been treated with even the bare minimum amount of respect, especially given that they were aware that it was our anniversary.

I’ve been going here for a while and always had great meals, but this last time wasn’t good. I bought a $65 steak, and I don’t even think it was a prime cut of meat. It tasted chewy, as if it was from a low-quality chain restaurant. I asked for medium-rare, and was served a well done steak. I expected more. My wife’s basic pasta with burrata just tasted off. And to top it off, we ordered a bottle of sparkling water, and was charged $10. This is a great way to ensure your loyal customers never return by doing this sort of tactic. The place was super loud, like a cafeteria. Usually I don’t mind, but there were tables of girls just outright screaming and laughing, as if they were completely drunk and being overserved alcohol. Management needs to step in when tables get out of hand. It’s disruptive and disrespectful.

We started our dinner with oysters, fresh and tasty. Followed by Eggplant and the Tuna tare tare all very good. Our last plate was the squid ink linguini with prawns. All very good, we would recommend Jonathan’s in Huntington highly.

Out for dinner with friends for restaurant week & found a gem of a restaurant in Huntington! From the lovely waitress who thoroughly knew the menu, to Alex, the GM who came over to chat & introduce himself, to the DELICIOUS food on the menu, we had a perfect evening. Every dish was delicious from the apps (salad, eggplant & mushroom rice balls) to the entree of seared scallops w/baby artichokes. Thank you, Jonathan’s Ristorante. We will be back again.

We had dinner last night here and the food, though pricey was delicious. The servers were great as well very attentive to our needs. However, it was freezing where we were sitting and we asked twice if they could turn up the heat or provide a little heater. They had one at the hostess station. We had to eat with our coats on! Come on! Get a heater for your guests. With the price of going out these days it’s the least you can do. Disappointed!

This place has been a long time family favorite for over 20 years however this is the first time I have to say we were disappointed with the food. It was the tree lighting and very busy in the restaurant. The service was great and our waitress was working hard to take care if her section. I got the roast chicken it was extremely dry. My husband got a pasta dish with a side of chicken. The seared chicken cutlet which was a $14 add on was so dry my husband did not eat it. The pasta Bolognese was meat basically swimming in a pool of grease. All dishes we have had multiple times in the past so I will take this as very off night as it has been great for 20 years.

I really loved this restaurant. Angelo our waiter was amazing and made our night extra good. I have an allergy and was so impressed that most of the menu is GLUTEN FREE!! Even dessert options which made me so happy!! Really yummy rich good Italian food and the atmosphere was lively and warm.
