My husband and I visited Jonathan’s for the first time this evening and our experience was amazing. From the moment we walked in the hostess greeted us and the staff were very welcoming. Jay recommended a Paso Robles Red Blend, Kat was a great waitress and Sara also checked in with us as well to make sure our dining experience was going well. Every detail was thought of. The kitchen staff knows exactly what they are doing with regards to the food. We had the scallops and onion soup as appetizers, 20oz bone in Ribeye and 3 fish (salmon, swordfish, and snapper) for our main entrees, and creme brulee, coffee, and espresso martini for dessert. Every single thing was made perfectly. It’s really hard to find restaurants that have it all…hardworking staff, high quality food, and a warm ambiance. Jonathan’s has it all. Shoutout to the staff for such a nice evening.

We went here on January 20th, 2025 for our 7th year anniversary. Juan was our server & he was very informative and very kind! He gave us the type of service that makes you want to go back. The food was amazing. Specifically the coconut shrimp was my favorite! I had an entree that had a trio of elk, bison, and venison. TO DIE FOR! My fiancé loved his dinner too! They also have mocktails as well. Thank you Juan!!

Excellent food and service. Such a gem for such a little town. Got a dry-aged cowboy steak that rivaled some of the best steakhouses. Everything was cooked to perfection.

This place is a must attend. This was our 2nd time here. We chose this place to celebrate my wife’s birthday. It didn’t disappoint. Our waiter was Bud and he was phenomenal!!! He made the evening a lot of fun. We live about an hour away and it’s well worth the drive. Definitely recommend making a reservation a few days ahead of time. The Key Lime pie rivals the several I’ve had in the Florida Keys. You can’t go wrong with the Grouper. It’s so good.

Had 7 PM reservations for two and showed up right on time. The hostess said our table wasn’t ready, which would’ve been fine — except we watched three couples come in after us with the same reservation time get seated before us. This really p????d me off.
Once we finally sat down, things got very hit or miss. The Hot Bacon Salad was pricey, but one of the best I’ve had in a while. After that, hit and miss. Lamb was great. The potatoes were way too salty, and the “vegetable side” — cheap green beans with yellow and red peppers — felt like an afterthought. And $6 extra for asparagus? That’s just ridiculous.
Tried the carrot cake for dessert — great cake, but the cream cheese icing was salty. It completely threw off what could’ve been a great.
Bottom line: inconsistent food, poor seating management, and inflated prices. Some dishes shine, but overall, the experience doesn’t match the cost or the hype.
High service rating is for our Waitress Kat. She was great.

Absolutely just the best! The food, the staff, the atmosphere, wonderful! The staff will go out of their way to make you feel welcome and to accommodate your needs. I recently had knee surgery and am unable to leave the house…I had been looking forward to a carryout meal from Jonathan‘s to celebrate Valentine’s Day. When I called to place the order right at 4 o’clock, the receptionist told me they were not taking to go orders, I was devastated (it’s all I had been looking forward to all week!)! After explaining the situation, I was put on a brief hold, and the hostess came back and said the chef wanted to accommodate us. I am so thankful!!! They made my evening so special!
Thank you Jonathan’s! Really appreciate your wonderful service!
Happy Valentine’s Day! LS

We dined here on Christmas Eve, as we have for the last few years, and had the most amazing experience, as always. Every time is just as good, if not better, than the last. Our server, Sarah, was incredible, attentive (even as it got extremely busy), friendly and gave phenomenal suggestions! We travel from Chicago, and the food, atmosphere, and service always blows us away and is comparable to some of our favorite Chicago restaurants. I don’t think we have ever eaten anything we didn’t thoroughly enjoy! Thank you, as always, for being our annual holiday staple!!

The mussels & Oysters Rockefeller were delectable. I ordered the fish trio & even though I was told the size before I ordered, was disappointed in the small portions. That being said, highly recommend the Chilean Sea Bass. You will not be disappointed in it’s size or fantastic flavor. My husband ordered the 30 day aged bone‐in Ribeye for $80. He ordered it medium rare & received it medium well. He does not like to complain so did not send it back, however, this totally soured him on our first dining experience here (thus, the reason for a 4 * rating rather than 5 stars). French Onion soup is one the best I’ve ever had in my 52 years on this Earth. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his brandy old-fashioned sweets with olives. Waitress, Kat, was excellent. She had all of the specials memorized & very knowledgeable regarding wines. She even went to the basement to look for pear liquor for me (which they were out of). Definitely save room for their fantastic assortment of desserts!

We used Jonathan’s for a small backyard wedding in September. We had about 38 people and Jonathan and his staff did an amazing job. Jonathan was great to work with and handled everything once he arrived at the house. The food was amazing, his staff accommodating and delightful. Seriously, everyone attending raved about how great everything was. All the food, serving pieces, etc. were brought in. Jonathan even had to go containers filled with the leftovers. The kitchen was left spotless. If you are thinking of catering a gathering, you won’t regret using Jonathan’s.

I have heard many good things about Jonathan’s, so I decided to treat myself to it last night. I have to say, it was the best food I’ve had. Every plate was so perfectly balanced & you could taste every flavor/ingredient used.
I ordered an appetizer of Jumbo Scallops which were incredible and came with a very nice & light salad. My main entree was a cashew encrusted halibut, which had a citrus beurre Blanc and was very very good! For the starch, I chose rice pilaf which was cooked very well & paired nicely with the halibut. Lastly, for dessert, the bartender brought over a dessert tray where I decided on a slice of key lime pie and a strawberry cheesecake slice which I forget what it was called. Everything was incredible – the key lime pie & cheese cake were the best I’ve ever had.
The bartenders were so wonderfully attentive & offered many great recommendations. I ordered a peach honey old-fashioned, and that also was incredibly delicious & smooth. To finish off the meal after dessert, the bartender asked if I’d like a coffee which I said yes to. The coffee was rich & smooth, and did not need any cream or sugar. The entire meal was astounding and frankly I’d never had this quality of service or food before. I will definitely be visiting again and it was worth every cent.
I want to give my thanks to chef Jonathan as well as the wonderful kitchen, bar, and wait staff at Jonathan’s because it truly felt like a one of a kind service they provided.
