For dinner, we tried the salmon patties with loaded mashed potatoes, and I honestly didn’t know that combination could taste that good. The salmon patties were phenomenal — tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. We also had the fried catfish served with balsamic-glazed Brussels sprouts and French fries, and I can confidently say the catfish was as good as any I’ve had throughout the South.
The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, with everyone in great spirits. A special shout-out to Jax and Austin behind the bar — they were attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better.
This is a gem for our community — a place I’d absolutely recommend to anyone looking for excellent food, great service, and a comfortable, hometown vibe. Ok
My husband and I took the key lime dessert home. It was a very special dessert! I’ve never had any key lime dessert that was this great! The attention to detail on the dessert was impressive. Even the mint leaf had edible gold on it. Simply amazing!! Hometown Roots, you have it all!!
Our server, Skylar, took good care of us. Friendly, attentive, and efficient without hovering. Solid, professional service, which I always appreciate.
The cocktails were a standout, well-crafted, balanced, and clearly made with intention. The food overall was good and full of bold Southern flavor, but I’ll be honest: several dishes leaned noticeably salty. Not a deal-breaker, but enough to knock it down a star and something the kitchen should be aware of.
All in all, Hometown Roots is a very nice venue with a strong vibe, good drinks, and a lot going for it. With a lighter hand on the salt, it’d be an easy five-star spot. I’d happily come back, especially for the atmosphere and cocktails.
It was difficult picking from their menu but I settled on a steak bowl and WOW!! Each bite was filled with amazing flavor. I wish I lived closer so I could work my way thru the menu.
Our server was Isabella and she was amazing. Greated us and was pleasant to work with. She checked on us throughout our meal and had drink refills before we were dry.
The owner Casey came to our table to see how our meal was and if we needed anything else. Haven’t seen this for awhile.
This atmosphere here is inviting and relaxing. When I turned to leave I was surprised the restaurant was full.
