During our recent trip out of town, we decided to stop by JoJo’s Restaurant for a drink before our dinner reservations down the street, and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by the lovely atmosphere. The selection of beer was impressive, and after grabbing a couple of drinks, we headed out to the courtyard.

The self-serve setup was unique, and while there were no servers to be found (but a very friendly greeter and bar tender), it created a relaxed vibe. The courtyard itself was enchanting, adorned with beautiful greenery, twinkling lights, and a stage. We were a bit disappointed to have just missed the live music, as it would have been the perfect place to sit and listen to some music.

We also took some time to explore the game area, where we enjoyed a fun game of ping-pong. This place would be perfect for families with self-sufficient kids, but it was equally fabulous for our date night. Overall, JoJo’s offers a delightful blend of atmosphere, fun, and great drinks—definitely worth a visit!

PROs: Friendly staff. Beautiful place and ambience tucked between high rise buildings and urban neighborhood. No wait time, we were early for dinner. Open seating. Mgr (Jojo) was attentive & offered a resolution to our metered parking fiasco IF we ran into any problems (thankfully we didn’t). And the food was great!
CONs: Metered off-street parking. The set up was inconvenient for our liking.

The ambience reminded me of Old Town in San Diego and Los Colinas in Texas.
Being from out of town and visiting friends, we felt our time spent here was not comfy since we were trying to accommodate each other’s needs and watch our metered parking time.
However, don’t hesitate to try JoJo’s but be prepared:
You must place your orders at either bar; the order will be brought out to a shed structure for food pick up. Next to the food shed is silverware and a water dispenser with cups (other drinks you order at the bar). The confusing part was we weren’t told where to get our silverware, at the time, we were only informed of where to place our food order and drinks. Afterwards you bus your own table to an area next to the food shed. At the ‘beginning’ we were the only folks dining, the food porter could’ve just brought us our platters since we were sitting directly in front of the food shed. When we were leaving the bartender was greeting us ‘in’, we thanked him and said we were actually leaving. My husband thought it odd since he placed our food order with that bartender.
Nonetheless, we got to experience JoJo’s but it wasn’t our vibe.

First time here and we absolutely loved it! The staff were very nice and friendly, the food was really good! I had the Tacos Dorado’s (potato tacos) omg they were so good and 3 filled me up! My husband had the smothered fries but he did say he felt the chicken wasn’t seasoned enough but it was filling too, he couldn’t even finish it! I loved how everything was earth friendly, recyclable and no plastic!! I think that’s the biggest reason I liked it! I’m passionate about the earth, environment and the animals so I felt so comfortable here. It was our 10 year anniversary and this place is so nice. They even had live music and the staff picks up your dishes for you , surprised but I love it. The customer service is 100% here! The cocktails were so delicious too! I loved the bartender, he’s very nice! So many vegan options too!! Thank you guys, we will be back!

Go to JoJo’s! We are visiting Tucson from Minneapolis and ate at JoJo’s tonight on recommendation from a Tucson local. The courtyard is magical with its string lights and trees, there was a very talented singer/guitarist, and the moment we sat down we were warmly greeted by Jo, herself! The food was very tasty (especially the vegan green goddess potato salad and vegan chocolate cake), and everyone in the restaurant seemed so happy and at ease.
If you’re in Tucson, please don’t miss this lovely little hidden gem!

Evening atmosphere is top notch. Beautiful and cozy. Drinks and restaurant are self serve and it’s pay to park. However, this place is a gem that you’ll be glad you visited. Everyone was very kind. Highly recommend!

I’ve lived in Tucson my whole life and never knew about this restaurant. My wife picked it for a fun date night and we were so impressed. The food was absolutely delicious and creative. The atmosphere was really nice and relaxed. They have a beautiful outdoor patio with music playing. And they also have an inside bar if you decide that’s more your speed. We absolutely will come back for another date night!

We made a reservation for our party of 7. The food took quite awhile to come out – maybe an hour? 45 minutes? Our server was great, but kitchen seemed backed up. Everything else was a good experience. I loved my Birria Dip sandwich. Loved the patio atmosphere. And live music!

Wonderful atmosphere. The Brussels sprouts were amazing as was the chick pea curry. Both were fantastic!

The burger got mixed reviews, one fantastic the other “adequate”. No voiced opinions about the tacos but not a crumb was left on the tray.

Sadly, the “chicken shawarma” is a chicken sandwich on a baguette. Nothing shawarma about it.

The Basque cheesecake was also excellent but the orange torte took the cake – it was also superb. The chocolate muffins were… Uh… Vegan and gluten-free.

I would give the service 5 stars if I didn’t have to do everything myself – the people are friendly, nice, working very hard to take care of their customers.

Overall, the meal was well-received by all. The only disappointments were the “shawarma” add the cupcake.

We came here with a group of friends. We had never been before and didn’t know what to expect, but it turned out to be so fun! We came at 5:30pm on a Friday with a group of 8 adults and were able to get a table no problem. The atmosphere is by far the best part of this place. It feels whimsical and cozy with all the lights and outdoor seating in nice weather. It was really casual with affordable prices. The owners are super nice and we had great service.

As someone who is gluten free, dairy free I was able to find something to eat with no problem. They have their menu labeled so easily to accommodate allergies or dietary preferences. I got the birria tacos which were delicious, a bit too salty, but still good. My husband got the shawarma and had no complaints. Would definitely come back here!
