Don’t worry about ordering ahead over the phone. Wanted try this place for the first time. Put in an order 30mins before passing through the area. Get there & the lady is like we don’t put call in orders in until you get here. REALLY what’s the point of even giving the impression my order would be ready when I get there. Save your time & pass this place by….

My wife and I stopped because we saw a bunch of folks inside and thought we found a neighborhood hole in the wall. Well…we were disappointed. The servings were large, but the taste wasn’t good. Everything tasted bland. I had the Chinese food and my wife had the fish/shrimp dinner. Neither one was upto par. Sorry, but I can’t suggest this place unless you don’t care how your food tastes.

The food was amazing. Popcorn shrimp and shrimp fried rice both come generously proportioned. The fish strips nearly fall apart in your mouth, lightly battered, crisp outside n jucy center.. so delicious, you could say they are cooked to perfection. However, the actual size of each strip the fish is cut into…rather small. Nonetheless still 100% pleased with my purcase, if i HAD to come up with a food related aspect to complain about, the size of the catfish strips is honestly all I could come up with. On the other hand if we are speaking on service, the cashier wasn’t of much help, After voicing outloud it was my first time trying Johns i expected some sort of suggestion or recommendation however I barely even got a response from the young lady whom looked up from her phone only for a brief moment which is when she handed me a print out version of the menu I was point at when I was attempting to ask a question about the menu.. but all together I was pleased and will be coming back!!

Just picked up my food (2) 12 piece fish with fries complained about the portion of the french fries. The portions was for one person ONLY. Asked for more fries owner’s daughter said no.LOOK AT YOUR PORTIONS, and say something.

Look, this is a well known establishment that’s been here longer than most. Go in there and grab anything off that menu, I promise, it’s delicious and affordable. I personally enjoy the pork chop burger. I mean, where else you gone find a pork chop burger!

I ordered the fried fish and shrimp with shrimp fried rice. The food was salty and tasted horrible. The rice tasted 2 days old and reheated. This place hyped up for nothing. Extremely gross!!

I’m so disgusted with John’s today. I ordered a shrimp poboy and normally I’m happy with them but today I was disappointed with the way it was made. The Poboy was so extremely small because they decided to make it with hotdog bun bread since they ran out of the regular bread they use for poboys. I should’ve checked my plate before leaving & will make sure to from here on out. You should always inform your customers when you have run out of a particular ingredient and not be dishonest/sneaky and hide it from them. Never short change your customers because you don’t have the proper ingredients available. So disgusted with John’s!!

order 2 plates off the waitr app. both with fried rice and chicken and for both plates i paid 27.70! so i get my food noticed it was wrong, so i called the place to let them knw it was incorrect the lady on the phone told me i needed to take it up with waitr because they don’t hve it on the app tht they charge more for rice. BUT I KID YOU NOT i go in there on a normal basic the plate with 7 wings and ride or fries are $8 since when y’all charge more for rice! Then she was rude and tried to tell me what i ordered when i was looking at my order on my phone directly as i was talking to them! she overtalked me the whole entire conversation and told me i was wrong then hung up! regret spending my money here i swear my night and appetite is ruined!

I’m so glad this California transplant tried the shrimp poboy. I had it without mayo… The shrimp is so delicious. Not sure if it was the butter in the shrimp or bread, it was so good. Ill have to come back when im in Baton Rouge. Excuse the messy photo, its damn good
