Great pit stop before hopping on the ferry. Open early with hot food, I recommend the bacon egg and cheese. Staff was very friendly to my dog, and I was also able to pick up some drinks and snacks for the road.

I didn’t feel up to another uncomfortable interaction with this deli but bought a few cold beverages totaling $7.49. Why was my change only $2? I looked at him confused but chose to pick my battles. This place is probably where my card information was stolen, I had fraudulent charges on multiple accounts. The only places I used those both were amazon, and here. That being said, don’t give this man your pin. He should NEVER be asking for it, yet he openly does. He treats people like they’re being rude for wanting to type it in themselves. The worst of it is he won’t even put the card machine over the counter enough for me to reach, intentionally. It’s so frustrating. He also overcharges on card transactions, I know there is a reverse cash discount, but this isn’t that. He doesn’t give you the total, but increases it and not by the same amount for purchasing the same items. I wish there was another deli in the immediate area so I could take my business elsewhere.
They know exactly what this is for. Do better. Don’t be rude when YOU make the mistake, eat the mistake in front of the customer, and forget to remake their food. I come in for something else and you catch an attitude? Lol. Right. I’ll send my husband next time. See if you wanna be as rude to him.

This will FOREVER be my favorite place! Not only is John & his wife amazing people but they are great to our community! They were always good to me & my siblings when we lived on South Ocean & me & my brother loved them! It’s been a long time since I have been to NY but oh boy will this be my first stop when I land! GREAT SERVICE & AMAZING FOOD! Nothing like a good ole hungry man with an Arizona tea!!!

Breakfast was sort of disappointing. The home fries were drowning in grease, the orange juice that I ordered with the platter was missing and the special instructions were ignored. I asked them not to butter my toast but they did anyway. Grubhub driver ignored my contactless delivery instructions. Unpleasant experience all around.

The people who work here are lovely, but…I will no longer give them my business, sadly. The neighborhood deli has turned into a hangout for drunks & assorted seedy characters, and it’s just not safe or right. Repeatedly being accosted for $, drugs, cigarettes, or beer everytime you go near the place is just a bit too much for me. I don’t feel comfortable or safe going there having to face the gauntlet of aggressive & nasty creatures that seem to have taken over the tables & chairs out front. There was a guy passed out in the middle of the afternoon w a bottle of beer sitting right by the front stoop & no one seems to care. Just tired of the constant harrassment & bs, they will lose a lot of customers if they continue to allow this.

Horrible Horrible Horrible. Just ordered two egg sandwiches, one with 2 eggs bacon and cheese, other with just one egg and extra cheese, a joy bar and a Keebler Sugar Wafers Individual serving size. $15.20. No juice, no coffee. The BEC sandwhich was disgusting and drowning in ketchup, bacon under cooked. It’s one thing to be over charged but to be over charged for crappy food. This place is completely horrible and way overpriced. Do your wallets and appetites a favor and just bypass this Deli. Take the extra minute drive and go to another deli. The only reason this has one star is because it won’t let you post a review with none.

Don’t know when your coming, this place is crazy, the prices. As a native we miss Gene. This place take advantage of the average customer. Stay away from people that don’t deserve your money.
