Old school sub shop in Canton neighborhood of Baltimore MD and decent place to grab bit to eat. Got the reuben special and fried mushrooms. Spent 18 bucks and was tasty just little light on the portion for the side.

This is a hidden gem in Canton. I always see the line out the door for CDL and I just wonder…do these people not know they can have a full, delicious, homemade breakfast right across the street at John’s!?!? Fools!! The John’s team always takes great care of us and my two teenage sons LOVE eating here!! We can watch the Ravens game or basketball in their dining room and eat ANYTHING your heart desires…pancakes all day, breakfast sandwiches, coffee made to order, eggs, omelettes, chicken parm, soup, pizza, seafood, cheesesteak….you name it, they’ll make it hot and fresh right in front of you. Stop waiting hungry in line for hours at CDL when you can just walk across the street and have the most incredible hot breakfast, or really anything you can dream up! This particular visit, my boys ordered chocolate chip pancakes with a side of…FRENCH FRIES!! And it was perfect.

Was at work around the corner and a colleague suggested i go here. Checked the ratings which seemed decent. Ordered thr stuffed shrimp with broccoli and mashed potatoes no gravy. I was disappointed with the food. Yes it looked great, but the taste was something else. Mashed potatoes were not homemade. You can taste the potato flake, rather more like cardboard that had a whole container of salt in it. It would’ve been bearable if it was seasoned correctly. Because I didn’t get gravy i thought i would’ve got some butter on the side or something…nope. Them the stuffed shrimp weren’t fresh. It was breaded with “crabmeat” on top that had been broiled. I gave it a try and there was a lot of filler and that was a little too salty for me as well. The only thing i enjoyed was the broccoli. It was crisp and seasoned just right. Also the cocktail sauce was salty too. Whoever cooked this day was heavy handed with the salt. The food looked ok when it was showed before putting in a bag to go. I don’t understand how they have 4.5 stars. Maybe people like salty greasy foid. The bread was an oily warmed up ha.burger bun . Initially i thougyy it was a warm biscuit or roll. This place has some work to do. Would I go back…maybe for fries but that’s it.

I’m sorry but you call this pizza? It was probably one of the worst pizzas I’ve had. I never write reviews this is my first one. Randomly came here while trick or treating and me and my 4 year old couldn’t even finish one slice. Ended up giving it to a homeless man but I kind of feel bad I gave it him because of how awful it was. Sorry.

I’ve been searching for an amazing sandwich shop. Let me tell you, this place gets a 10/10 from me. This is how Jimmy John’s USED to be back in the day.

The food here is so good. I pretty much tried the entire menu, and it is all good. The best hangover food money can buy too. My only complaint is that everyone there is so grumpy. I don’t get it, it is like they hate the customers. Customers are the enemy apparently in there. Quite funny actually but either way grumpy or not, I will be back!

Solid spot. We stop here for breakfast sandwiches on our way out for a hike. Great prices (especially for 2025), food fills you up. Overall no complaints- it’s great to see a place still like this on the east side of the city
