I’m not sure if it’s bc I ordered thin crust and maybe the veggies were too heavy for the crust? Or if it was because I ordered at 9:15 and they were closing at 10? But I had their pizza once before, an extra slice my mom had given me that was leftover and it was delicious; cold and all. Months later, I remembered how great it was. just to be severely disappointed. But one of their “regulars” at the bar was great conversation while waiting.

Great food and great service. The place has a hole-in-the-wall atmosphere that has charm to it. They didn’t have the beer that I wanted available so I told the waiter I’d try one that I’ve never had before. Wasn’t a fan of it and told him it was alright when he asked because I’m the type that doesn’t like to be a bother to people. My girlfriend and I ordered strombolis. They came out pipping hot and the size of a newborn baby. It was delicious. The waiter, didn’t get his name, noticed I wasn’t the biggest fan of the beer and took it off the bill without having to ask. He was very nice and gave off a laid back vibe, just like the setting. Overall, really enjoyed the food and the place, will come back here again forsure!

I was tasked with ordering pizza for our Thanksgiving at my moms, which we always do the Sunday before. She decided to go more casual this year because my dad is in hospice and we’re all kind of drained. I talked to Brian who did some math with me so I’d know how much to order. He was beyond helpful! And of course the pizza, and garlic knots, were delicious. Been loving johnnys for decades and of course we’ll be back!

I stopped going prior years ago because pizza always had burnt bits of semolina and other food on the bottom. Tried them again today and that seems to still be the case. The pizza is otherwise good.

I didn’t know what to expect because it’s hard finding good pizza BUT I FOUND IT HERE!!!!! I bought 2 slices off the rip and brought an extra one home. The pepperoni and white pizza were excellent. And those slices with anchovies were perfect. Idk if they changed cooks or something. But when I moved out here 5 years ago I tried them and wasn’t really feeling it. But NOW….. they got the best pizza in Sandy Springs.. and the waitress was nice, pretty as hell, and helpful.. you should visit. 10/10

Pizza is usually acceptable here, but the service is near worthless. The cashier in particular is entirely useless – a perfect example of why AI really needs to replace many employees as fast as possible. Came here on a Saturday night and the service was incredibly slow, and the cashier ignored me for about 20 minutes, despite the place being near empty. We are all just witnessing the demise of the service industry as a whole it seems. So sad to see this happen. Johnnys used to be great, but nothing good tends to last it seems.

We dropped-in to have pizza with nine 12 year old boys after celebrating a birthday at Activate Atlanta. The staff was absolutely wonderful!! They took great care of us and even offered to provide plates for our cake. We had garlic knots that the kids devoured. The pizza was fantastic!! The antipasto salad was great! They had a little nook in the front of the restaurant that was perfect for our group. Highly recommend!!
