Service was good, although I think she may have been overextended trying to cover the bar/bartending and the seating in the bar area.
The bread for the furnished appetizer was very good! I had the Italian Beef with a side of coleslaw. The sandwich was okay, not much flavor, the au jus helped a little with that. The coleslaw was waaaay to soupy/runny for my liking.
Overall, “okay”, but will probably try a different place next time we are in the area.

We went to Johnny’s for a double birthday and had made our reservation for a weekday. We got seated right away and our waiter, Dustin, was right there. Extremely professional and attentive without being intrusive. The food was outstanding as always but Dustin’s service topped that. He deserved 10 stars. He is a class act. We will definitely go back there again. And it is also nice to eat in a restaurant where there is a nice and quiet atmosphere and you can hold a conversation without yelling at each other.

Loved this restaurant! I have a severe food allergy and Sydney was a joy of a waitress. She made sure I could eat safely and, more importantly, paid attention to my needs. She was full of wonderful stories about her life and was very interesting. The food was great and the ambience wonderful!

Ate here on Valentine’s Day and split the special with my wife after the server quoted it at $58. First we had to ask for the extra plate, then when the bill came it said the special was $72. We could have bought 2 full sized entrees for that amount, had we known. Then the server forgot to use our gift card on the bill. I can only imagine that the server was new but the manager could have set the price on the special appropriately given the misrepresentation.

The food was so delicious, I almost wept. Great service; seated quickly; extremely clean. It didn’t feel like a chain restaurant at all. Such a nice atmosphere. Obviously pretty pricey, but absolutely delicious.

Johnny’s in Altoona never fails to provide excellent food. The service is great. We particularly love having Megan wait on us. She is a super hard worker and always has a smile on her face. She asked the manager to let her serve me and my family when she found out my dad had passed away earlier in the day. She was a blessing and her comfort & kindness was greatly appreciated. We try to be sure to sit at one of her tables every time we go. Which is often. She’s a keeper!

We popped in for the first time after a trip to the outlets. The ambiance of the restaurant was very nice. It was elegant up front and seemed to relax a little toward the bar with the TV screens. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. The salmon, mashed potatoes, salad and appetizer bread with olive oil were great. The cavatappi with marinara was just ok. The sauce seemed pretty basic for level of the restaurant. It could have used some dressing up. Otherwise, great place overall.

Went there on a Friday at 4. There were only 2 other couples there. It took 35 minutes before we even got to order our food. Then another 30 plus minutes to get it. I ordered Prime rib and it tasted very spicy. I asked why so spicy and she said it is what it is wrapped in. Never will go back. Very disappointing.

I took my wife here tonight for our 37th Anniversary and it was our first time eating here. The service was exemplary from the minute we walked into the restaurant. Our waitress, Riaanna, was absolutely fabulous! She always had a smile on her face and was so kind and genuine. The food was the best we have had, and I am not saying this just for the review, but with all honesty. From our appetizer to our main meal and anniversary cheesecake, everything was perfectly made and absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was perfect, even for a cowboy like me. We will be back frequently as this is now our most favorite restaurant.
