I recently tried the sandwiches at Johnny G’s Sub Shack, and unfortunately, they fell a bit flat. While the ingredients were fresh, the flavor combinations just didn’t do it for me—everything tasted a bit bland and uninspired. For a quick bite, they might satisfy your hunger, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to recommend them. Overall, just mediocre at best.

Where to begin … Oldest continually operated sandwich shop in Ketchum. Retains same local team. Locals have sandwich favorites, just ask. Sometimes busy, but worth the wait.

Very friendly and you can tell they take time and care with every sandwich. Cool atmosphere with a local vibe. I bought two hats with my order and they gave me two cookies no charge!

Johnny G’s is amazing! Great food, service, and just a really cool little shack with tons of memorabilia plastered all over the wall. There is definitely a lot of history at the little place. The food is fantastic! As a first-time goer, I ordered their first sub off the top of their menu, the Delbello, and the house special soup, tomato bisque. After a very short wait and good interactions with their service team I was first brought the tomato bisque, which for a good sized cup only cost me $4, and let me tell you, that is quite possibly the best money I’ve ever spent on soup. Absolutely fantastic! It’s just a creamy and delightful, warm, and fulfilling soup with just the right amount of acidic bite. It’s definitely the best bisque I’ve ever had. Then, after finishing my soup, they brought me my 12″ Delbello sub, which cost me $14. Overall, I ended up spending just over $20 with tax, which is not bad at all for Ketchum. I then brought my sub back home with me, and even after 30 mins of sitting in the car, it had to be one of the best subs I’ve ever had. Great job, Johnny G’s! You will always have my recommendation!

Outstanding no-frills sandwiches and soups. Delightful nostalgic grunge vibes. Like if a dive-bar was a sandwich shop. No notes, 10/10

Not a great sandwich. Ordered in person, waited 30 minutes for a sandwich that was ready while the staff stared at me. Then was told it was my fault. I don’t come here often, reminded why today.
