Came here right after getting married at the Capitol. Overall wonderful experience, everyone was well attended to and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend the calamari and the french onion soup, as well as the filet mignon. They do have some seafood entrees but the meat dinner plates tasted better. Our server was wonderful, and the drink options were delicious. The hash browns were okay. Everything else was spectacular. Highly recommend for special occasions.

We had a great time at dinner on Saturday night. We reserved a table online so we could be seated right away. We didn’t have to wait for our table when we walked in.

We went here for my birthday in March and had a marvelous dinner and service. But on the way out we saw ice cream drinks being made and determined to return for drinks and small bites at the bar and save room for Brandy Alexanders. . Last night we did it. Several house Old Fashions, split a wedge salad with Bleu cheese and French dressings (the Wisconsin way we were told ❤️), stuffed mushrooms, bacon au poivre and a bowl of Fr onion soup. Everything was wonderful. We said it was our 54th wedding anniversary today so the great bartender opened a bottle of champagne and toasted with us. We still had room for a tasty Brandy Alexander. Great fun night and good walk home.

Every single part of our experience was amazing. Our server was prompt and attentive and the GM was literally the highlight of our evening. The bone marrow which is something we don’t come across often in Michigan was on point, and the steak was cooked perfectly. I can not say ENOUGH about the French onion soup my fiancé and I will be back before we leave just to have it one more time. This experience set our night up well, as we got engaged shortly after leaving. Johnny Delmonico’s and staff will always be our place when we visit.

We ordered “Ahi tuna tartar” for appetizer, “Filet minion with hash brown” and “Aged ribeye with garlic mashed potato” for the main course and “cream brûlée” for dessert. Everything was so tasty and we enjoyed so much. will visit again for sure.

Wonderful place to eat. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. She even gave us complimentary champagne as we were celebrating our anniversary

The service was ok, server provided recommendations and was generally attentive. Quality of food was lacking and does not reflect the high price tag. Highlight of the evening was the lobster bisque and free bread and butter they served prior to the main course.

We’ve been regulars here for years. Best restaurant in Madison with the best staff. We had the filet and salmon last night. Steaks are always perfect here, but Chef Tim has outdone himself with the salmon. The vegetables that accompany it bring out the flavor. Best salmon I’ve ever had (and I’ve had plenty of it in Seattle and the Pacific Northwest, where salmon is a way of life). Great drinks, great food, great staff, great atmosphere (table linen and candles – where can you find that nowadays, especially in popular restaurants that are more noisy than an army mess hall?). Five-star rating without hesitation!
