What a great place for lunch when you’re needing it quick. We happen to eat here multiple times when in town as it’s quick and also amazing food with generous portions at reasonable prices. Lasagne is amazing – add an extra meatball or Italian sausage if you’re feeling extra hungry. Today was the Italian Steak Sandwich. Pork cutlet fried with mozzarella and red sauce with tomatoes and onions. Had to split it due to being so large. Keep up the amazing work!!

I dined in today on my second visit (had to come back for more!) and I loved my lunch. The sandwich was excellent, with fresh ingredients and kettle cooked chips. The iced tea was some of the best I’ve ever had, and I’m from the South. The fresh Lemon cake on special today was beyond delicious! The gals behind the counter were busy at the lunch rush, but still so sweet and friendly!! I asked for a carry out box for my sandwich, and they insisted on wrapping it and bagging it for me to take home. I loved the old family photos on the wall, and the Motown oldies playing in the dining room. Everything I’ve seen coming out from the kitchen into the dining looks and smells wonderful. I highly recommend lunch here.

The employees were so friendly, the restaurant is clean and attractive, and the food is to die for even before you factor in the extremely reasonable price point. I wish I could come back more often, but I visited on a rare weekday off work.

This unassuming, little italian deli is tucked in among a business park off Front street. Had I not googled it, I probably would not have realized it was here. My other options for food in the area are McDonald’s and Waffle House, so Johnny C’s is a very welcome option for lunch! Most sandwiches are around $10-12 including a bag of Lay’s potato chips. I just wish they included a pickle as well. I’ve had the chicken parm, italian steak, Johnny’s Palermo and a turkey bacon club. All were good. My only complaint is the lettuce they use is leaf, not shredded. By the time I drive 7 minutes back to work, the leaf lettuce is soggy and must be removed. Other than that, no complaints. The people here are so friendly and accommodating. I’ll definitely be back!

Look. They were hopping. 1st time. Happy but was confused where and I think because I was not a regular my food stayed up on the counter while other numbers took priority however I was pleased and the Lasagna was great!! I don’t know how they can do better to create more efficiency. This place should be all over the country

The chicken parm sandwich was great. The bread had a somewhat sweet taste to it that was actually quite enjoyable. I would say that I personally would like more of the red sauce on the sandwich, however it was still a good sandwich nonetheless. Would recommend and visit if you are in the area. Lots of their other food options looked delicious.

Stopped here for lunch the other day. Definitely would have not gone here on my own, but a friend recommended it. Glad I stopped by. Had a great sandwich with side of meatballs. The meatballs were great in the sweet marinara sauce. Also got cookies. The cookies are soft and fresh. Give it a try if you are in the area. Also the line was out the door around noon, but staff kept it moving.

I do not know how I have never been here but holy cow was it a breathe of fresh air. Pulling up I was a little surprised that this business is located in what looks to be an office strip center but once I walked inside a whole different story.
What you can’t miss about this place is the vibe is very authentic and shows the history of the place. Pictures adorn the walls and the tables and chairs make you feel like you are on the east coast. Two different counters for pickup of to-go orders and one to order at to stay.
I ordered mine to go and I think it could have been even better if I had eaten in there. The place is pretty big and clean. The staff is polite and friendly, a cast of long-time employees that care.
As I pulled off and the smell started to take over I almost pulled over to take a bite of my chicken parm sandwich, cooler heads prevailed.
The food quality, overall value, and people will have me coming back. This has been added to the rotation and I am very happy to have a real Italian deli to support.

If you are giving a review of a restaurant and best you can say is to compliment the staff on being welcoming and friendly well that is where we are today.
I ordered an Italian Trio (heated). They don’t have a Salamander (a small oven) as I had hoped to heat my sandwich so they used a steamer which only made my sandwich soggy and unappealing.
We also ordered Chicken Parmesean with the marinara sauce on the side. Unfortunately the order or the request wasn’t recieved by the kitchen and the chicken and penne pasta was well coated in sauce causing the crispy coating on the chicken to give up the ghost.(also soggy)
Then there is the third item. A communications glitch?: There is a second to go container full of Penne Pasta with sauce on the side minus the chicked an order paid for but not wanted.
Each meal came with a side salad of plain leafy greens. No onions, No croutons.
The salad was basically ready for a rabbit hutch or the lizards could eat well off it.
We are commercial driver’s and look for hidden gems as we travel that can accommodate our large truck. What they gained in parking accessibility and convenience to the truck stop we were heading to was lost due to the quality of the food.
Maybe the quality of the food goes up if you dine in.

Has a great staff and overall appearance for that hole in the wall you missed if you go too fast down the hyw. Take a few minutes and stop in for that delicious meatball sub or sketti with penne. Dont forget to try the cookies
