We first visited Johnny B’s about two years ago and we were very impressed by the food, the atmosphere, and even the service that first time.
And then we came again. We sat for 30 minutes after being directed to sit wherever we wanted by a random waitress. After thirty minutes no one had even come by to take a drink order. We left.
We attempted again a few months later and were met with very similar service, though this time we at least got our drinks served. After over an hour of watching to go bags for food delivery services fly out of the kitchen, we still had not received our dinner order and left after paying our tab.
Tonight was attempt number three and was the last attempt for us. We walked in and were told to sit where we liked, and were not otherwise acknowledged in any way, let alone for a drink or food order. For how good the food can be here, the service is downright pathetic. It’s infuriating to be waiting for a waiter or waitress to at least say hello, but they’re too busy carrying on chatting and laughing with another table for 5-10 minutes on end. Very disappointing for how much we enjoyed this place on our first visit. Guess we just got lucky.

I gave a 4 stars because it was really cold at most times maybe next time ill try to seat by the fire. Beside that great burger and they added the egg on top like I requested . Will be coming back…

We’ve been to Johnny Bs 3 times. 1st time was just after Christmas, 2nd time New Year’s Eve. Both of these were GREAT!! The Clam chowder, amazing, all the food was Great! Good food, drinks & service. Went last night, we couldn’t have been more disappointed with food and service. It was terrible!!!!!! We had to look for the waitress for our drink refills, utilities, and the check not to mention 1 of the 4 meals. When the last meal was finally brought to the table 15 minutes after everyone else’s it was water logged. It was supposed to be the same as one of the other meals previously delivered but their plate didn’t have water or any other liquid flowing in the plate. I should have sent it back but didn’t want to make a screen as we were celebrating. We bragged about it to everyone after the 1st 2 times, NOW we’re not sure if we’ll go back.

PROS: Good family atmosphere, great vibe, locals do gather here; bar staff is friendly and attentive. Food is usually good, excellent burgers; they have Wednesday Night steak night, the steak is usually done right and tasty; however don’t expect a prime grade steak.
CONS: Away from the bar, service in the rest of the restaurant is slow, not enough wait staff. As of late we’ve noticed a spike in menu prices (January 2026) and the addition of a $4 sharing surcharge. This is an upcharge to the price of the meal regardless of what label management chooses to place on it. This upcharge is in addition to the increased menu prices. I do encourage consumers to keep an eye out for these additional greedy charges/fees that some restaurants include.
OVERALL: Value for money is deteriorating due to the increased menu prices coupled with additional charges.

Johnny B’s roadside saloon is our favorite place to go for date night.
Great atmosphere, very warm and welcoming and we are always made to feel appreciated. They serve up some of the best wings I’ve ever had, boneless and bone in, the burgers are out of this world, hand pressed and never frozen.
They have great specials including steak night on Wednesdays where you can get a fantastic steak dinner for a great price!
Great food! Great prices,Great staff and a lovely family friendly atmosphere all combine to make this our “go to” spot for date night!
Try this place and I guarantee you will NOT be disappointed.

Was recommended by a coworker to try the Wednesday night steak specials. Sat at the bar, Mike (great personality he was alot of fun) and all the staff were excellent helping each other. The food was delish, steak cooked perfectly. We added stuffed shrimp which was so good. Portions were great, i forgot to get a pic of the salads which were a large size too. Definitely will be back.

Johnny B’s is a cool hole in the wall please. They just remodeled it a few years back and when you go inside it’s beautiful. Don’t wear your colors. They’re not allowing that anymore, don’t know why. The food is great and the atmosphere is cool too.

Ordered a burger and French onion soup via DoorDash. The French onion broth was sooooo good!! Nice and rich flavor like it should be! Burger was really good too, big and lots of flavor!
