I ended up here on a Tuesday because Red Devil is closed. Their menu says mediums are on sale during the week (10.99 for pep and 9.99 for cheese). I placed an order for two mediums (one cheese and one pepperoni) both with white sauce which is an extra charge. And a cheese calzone (requested no sauce). My total was $58 and some change not sure how.
The pizza was ok, the crust didn’t have much flavor. But the kids said it was decent.
The calzone was highly disappointing. It looked so beautiful but was lacking flavor on the massive amount of dough and was oozing out some sort of sauce after requesting no sauce. I was also sad to see they don’t make home made ranch. Upon pickup, the counter girl wasnt rude but wasn’t kind either. I wasn’t offered napkins plates or utensils for the calzone. Not a horrible experience but definitely wouldn’t pay $58 for it again.

This was our first time eating at Johnnie D’s. We thought the pizza was great and would rate this a. Strong 4.5 stars. Pizza was on point and the wings were meaty and hot. Would definitely suggest you try this place if you haven’t yet. Atmosphere in the place was nice and is all setup for social distance.

We were pleased to be able to try out Johnnie D’s for pizza, wings, and fried goodies. While the pizza is better than your average pizza place, it is not quite on par with the best. The flavors are light and tasty, but the crust is a bit thick and chewy to be true “brick oven pizza”.
The fried zuccini and calamari were both good with generous portions, but left a bit to be desired in flavor and texture.
The staff was attentive and understanding with a spill of water by our children.
I’d recommend Johnnie D’s if you’re looking for reasonably priced pizza that’s a step up from the usual.

Definitely a local favorite (you can tell by the influx of customers coming and going). The pizza is definitely delicious and worth a trip! They also serve calzones and salads. They don’t offer gluten-free items unfortunately. I love the funky creative art on the walls and how friendly the staff is.

When we arrived there was not a car in the parking lot. There was no one inside either. We ordered a large pizza and wings with 2 drinks.
It took several minutes to get our drinks and we had a few options for what we could drink because they were out of everything.
Within 10 minutes others started arriving their orders were placed and it started getting busier. The table next to us, which had a party of 6 got their 2 large pizzas and wings right away. We waited another 10 minutes for our wings. The pizza took several more minutes to come out. The table next to us was getting fabulous service drink refills ect. We got nothing. Until just before we were ready to leave and then my husband was asked if he wanted a refill.
Would we go back, based on the service no. It was terrible. I discovered the table next to us knew someone in the kitchen or worked there, that’s why their order was pushed ahead.
The food is good but after our first time experience and being treated in such a manner we won’t return. Our drive from Clay Springs isn’t worth it to us for that.

Hello all. When my wife and I were looking for food on a Friday night we found this little pizza joint called Johnnie D Pizzeria. Personally I thought just another pizza joint. But of course I was wrong. The pizza was amazing we got the XL mega meat wow amazing. And of course I ordered the calzone. OMG this calzone was HUGE and delicious. Check out the photos. I would appreciate everyone who comes to Pinetop-Lakeside Az to check this place out. You won’t be disappointed.

If you told me it was oven cooked frozen pizza I would have believed you. The pictures from other customers made me choose this over other stuff places. Boy was I disappointed when I opened my box. The crust was more cardboard like then expected. It was pretty burnt as well. Toppings were nothing special. It was impressively greasy if that’s considered good. Over all just let down.
