Have not had good BBQ in awhile, so drove out to experience this West-Coast rendition. Is it the best… No. Is it worth the long drive…Depends on your definition of great BBQ. It seems to be one of the better west-coast BBQs within NV and CA that I ate at. Wild Fig BBQ are simular in quality. However, I am biased due to my Southern roots, so I would prefer to not go far out of the way just for this location. Nonetheless, great service and team works well together. Interesting take for its’ region. The cornbread is more of a cake flavor rather than a hardy cornbread. The granulated sugar inside of it was not hard to miss. Chicken and Mac-&-cheese were a bit overcooked. Collard greens and portion sizes were decent. To each their own.

I come to Las Vegas all the time and somehow I just now made it to John Mull’s Road Kill. I feel like I’ve been missing out for years. This place is the real deal.

The pulled pork was excellent. Juicy, smoky, not overly sauced, just perfect. The Mild BBQ Sauce was killer! But the sides are what absolutely shocked me. The baked beans tasted like a killer chili. The Mash Potatoes with Gravy were spot on. The Peach Cobbler might be the best I have ever had anywhere. The Mac Salad was unreal and the Mac & Cheese was some of the best I’ve ever tasted. Every side was a full ten out of ten.

This place feels like you discovered a secret spot the locals try to keep quiet. It’s not some touristy Strip restaurant. It’s real barbecue, served by people who know what they are doing. If you’re a regular in Vegas like I am, trust me, make the trip. I will be back every single time I’m in town.

I’ve always liked supporting Jon Mulls Road Kill Grill because it’s a local spot with a unique vibe. Lately though, I feel like the quality has gone down a bit—it can be hit or miss depending on the day. Some visits are great, other times the food just doesn’t taste as it used to. Still, I appreciate that it’s a local place and hope they can get back to the consistency that made it my favorite. Il definitely be back Thank you !

We decided to stop by after seeing a social media post abt this place. It is SO GOOD. Omg. we ordered the ribs and beef tri tip… the meat was so soft and super tasty. We had baked beans and macaroni salad as sides- the beans were my favorite. Their corn bread was so tasty it felt like I was having a dessert.
Staff was super cheerful and kind. As we walked in, they started cheering it felt very welcoming.
Only thing- no inside seating, which sucked due to Las Vegas weather always being hot. But this is def a great place to stop by and eat. Gave me bbq festival vibes. Def worth the sweat

Absolutely lived up to the hype! The food was fantastic. Everything melted in your mouth. I got the two meat plate and had leftovers for days, with the cornbread not lasting past the parking lot. This is definitely a place I would come to again and again. No indoor seating so dress warm for those colder months that you come and sit outside to enjoy the food.

I’ve been coming here for years and the food has always been delicious. My recent visit on 10-29-2025 was one of a kind. I got 4 of The Wednesday special (rack of ribs) and the bbq beef rib plate. The pork ribs were sweet and salty and not in a good way. The beef rib was mushy and all I could taste was grease and an absurd amount of vinegar.
I tried my best to rinse the food to get all the salt and sugar off with no luck. I wasted $135.00 on inedible disgusting bbq. My stomach is churning at the thought of it.
After 12 years, I will not be going back.

We decided to give this place a shot and ordered two combo meals — pulled chicken, hot links, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, spicy BBQ, regular BBQ, cornbread, and that cherry thing.

The mashed potatoes and hot links came out swinging — pretty good, had me thinking “okay, this might actually slap!” But then I made the mistake of trying the pork ribs… and my excitement died faster than my diet on cheat day. Those ribs were cold, stiff, and about as tender as a car tire. I honestly started wondering if I was eating ribs or testing new rubber for Goodyear.

Then I looked over and saw the brisket just chilling on the steam table with no steam in sight — mystery solved. The spicy BBQ sauce had a nice kick, but the regular one tasted like it got lost on the way to flavor town.

Overall, it started great but ended like a bad plot twist. Not sure if I’ll be back, unless they start serving their ribs with a side of heat and hope.

Food it divine, huge portions.
The burnt ends are my favorite followed by the brisket and collard greens.
The corn bread has gotten flatter. (Still good, just less of it)
Service is intimidating and rude at times especially if you are new to the ordering system.
I also got the cherry cobbler.
(Wish I hadn’t)
It tasted like can filling and the dough was burned at the bottom middle dough was raw.
Prices are a lil bit high but so is everything else.
The live band and community seating is a good.

This place hits the spot when you’re craving good Texas BBQ. Their mac and cheese is honestly the best, and the brisket is to die for. I definitely want to come back and try their tri-tip on the day they serve it.
