I’m literally writing this review while still eating because the food is THAT good.
We originally came to try another food truck that ended up being closed, and wow — what a perfect accidental find Johana’s Food Truck turned out to be. Total hidden gem.
We ordered the garlic shrimp and the crispy chicken sandwich, and both were incredible. The shrimp was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly, and the chicken sandwich was super crispy, juicy, and just overall chef’s kiss. You can tell they really care about the food quality.
On top of that, the service was excellent — friendly, welcoming, and fast.
We will definitely be coming back. Honestly glad our original plan fell through because we might not have discovered this spot otherwise!

Johana’s is a new favorite. I got the classic rice bowl and it was the yummiest thing I’ve had in a LONG time. The chicken is perfectly crispy, the ratio of chicken to fried batter/skin is perfect and the sauces are so complimentary. They are generous with their rice helpings as well!!
A beautiful balance of sweet and savory, and add a bite of refreshing ginger salad or seasoned Korean Mac salad completes it all.
Staff is so friendly and kind, they even gave me a free shrimp sandwich (don’t even get me started, I’m drooling again already!! )

I tried the Johana Signature Bowl and it honestly impressed me! The chicken is super flavorful and tender. The creamy lime sauce is the real star — rich, tangy, and perfectly balanced. Every bite is refreshing and delicious. All the ingredients come together so well that it feels light but still satisfying. Definitely a must-try!

Ordered the Hawaiian garlic shrimp and I was so happy I decided to order from this food truck! The shrimp was perfectly cooked and the garlic sauce was perfectly garlicky and with a touch of acidity. I would highly recommend.

This is the best chicken I’ve had outside of Nashville. Most of the food on Maui is slightly above mediocre but not this place. When you visit you will find something truly special. Super crispy chicken, excellent sauces. Fantastic food truck.
