Open under new ownership. Located waterfront at Badin Shores Marina, New London, N.C., JOEYS offers lakeside dining, a bar, outdoor seating and a small convenience store. We are open to the public and you can visit our restaurant by car or boat. Please know the park doesn’t let the public in during some Holiday weekends. We are sorry for this. You can come by boat or be a guest of a resident. Please call for more information. Any other time, the public is always welcome.

The menu is great, prices are reasonable and the food has been perfect as ordered every time. Best burgers on the planet. Personable friendly staff. Not fast food. If they’re busy you might wait a few extra minutes for your order, but it’s a perfect place to relax, take your time, and enjoy the water view.

The place was not busy when we got there, but had to wait for a table. Waitresses seemed overwhelmed and not sure what to do with us.
We placed our order and waited. It finally arrived, but they “forgot” a few items. By the time we got the missing items, we had almost finished eating. One of the forgotten items was French fries. They hurried to fill the order so when we got them they were literally half cooked. The grease wasn’t hot enough so they were soggy. And the slaw was probably good yesterday. Ugh!
Then came time for the bill. Waitresses were scampering about here and there (seemed like there was no method to their madness), but never.once.looked up! We waited at least 10-15 minutes for someone, anyone to help. I literally had to flag down another Waitress to help us. She stated she couldn’t help us (not her table). Nice! Finally, finally we got our bill. By this time it was very busy and I just wanted to get out of there.
Since it’s a gated community I’m sure they get pretty much the same amount of people there on any given night but they seemed so unprepared and frantic. This is not a place i would want to visit again. Sad and disappointing.

The food is awesome. The kitchen sink pizza is a must for supreme pizza lovers. Anna’s Crack burger is a must for the burger lovers. Honestly I have not had anything bad. The only reason why service is rated so low is because they do not have enough servers!! The one who works is great but she has to cover the entire restaurant. If you don’t mind the wait go in and enjoy it. If you are in a time crunch order to go!!

This place is great! The food is the best on the lake and quite honestly within a 20 mile radius. The restaurant is locally owned and has fresh food and ingredients. The owners and staff make you feel super welcome and the service is always great. I’ve had everything on the menu and have never been disappointed at all, plus I have kids and it’s a family friendly atmosphere where everyone can enjoy food and drinks. I highly recommend it – Neil C.

Went for a late dinner with my son. I had the best Philly steak and cheese I have ever had outside of Philly. The server was very friendly and helpful. The food came out pretty quick and was very generous. My small criticism is that you have to eat in the bar. I don’t understand why the large dining room overlooking the lake is not open. I will still go back.

We really like this place we just happen to find it one day while going to Uwharrie National Park. The food is absolutley delicious & the service is awesome thats why we decided to come back a 2nd time and it didnt disappoint us. The only drawback is it takes a long time to get your food so get you a few drinks & kickback. Other than that, they have a fantastic bar its on the lake great food awesome waitresses what more could you want. We highly recommend thid place to anybody in the area you wont be disappointed!

Atmosphere is good. Looks a bit dated but fun.

Great service and good food. Recommend the crack burger and tots. Being in a gate community is a little strange. Need to show ID at the gate. Probably not much they can do about that though.
