Was looking for a place to eat breakfast on Black Friday 2025. The smell drew me in. I ordered the Cajun Shrimp Benedict. The food was delicious. Service was great and prices were fair. Would absolutely recommend again.

Arrived at 5 p.m. on a Saturday. There were three tables taken. 15 minutes later the place was packed. Atmosphere is surprisingly quiet and very welcoming. The owner made a few passes to make sure everything was good. Food was delicious. We ordered Chicken and eggplant parm, fries and cocktails. Everything was superb.
Our waiter did an excellent job addressing our needs without seeming nosy. My only regret is that I didn’t get the waiters name to express my thanks.

We visited Joey Z’s for the first time today for breakfast and were not disappointed! We loved the atmosphere; such a quaint restaurant. The service was excellent. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. We ordered from the specials menu: Coconut Croissant French Toast and Avocado Omelette. Both were amazing! We are definitely coming back!

We have been coming here for many years. I just celebrated my birthday with my family tonight and it was GREAT as usual. The atmosphere is so cozy with the little twinkling lights hanging from the ceiling and the soft music in the background. Joey greeted us and made conversation with us multiple times, what a nice, decent good man. We enjoyed his conversations and the food was fabulous, started off with their famous fresh Greek salad with a touch of dill, then the main course was stuffed chicken with spinach and feta topped with red sauce accompanied with mixed vegetables and lemon pepper potatoes. Everything was so good. The waitresses were exceptional, they sang happy birthday to me with an on the house dessert for me and my family. Overall what a wonderful experience, food, atmosphere, service and Joey’s warmthness was appreciated. This is my favorite restaurant by far. Thank you for a memorable birthday!!!

Sean was our wonderful waiter, he engaged in conversation with my uncle, very friendly fellow… He made sure we were take care of. There are very pretty lights hanging from the ceiling and Christmas music playing, creating a cozy environment. It was very crowded, make a reservation! (Even though we did not, we were still able to be seated after a short wait) It felt so nice to walk into the heated building after being in the freezing cold. We were met with a very friendly staff and very clean table. Delicious apps, multicultural menu. Enjoyed our entrees! Overall had a great experience.

Me and my family came here for lunch after visiting Stony Brook University. The staff were really nice and the food came really fast! The menu had a lot of variety and many dishes to choose from. The portions were really big and kept us very full.

Joey Z’s is an excellent place for food and atmosphere. The owner helped us at our outdoor seating area with our 2 small dogs in a baby carriage. Food was terrific, service was timely, and Joey himself seemed to be there for his clients with personality and flair. He took his time to share some history with us as well as entertain some other customers. Very positive to see him interact so well with his staff from the waiters to the everyone on board. Highly recommend this place if in Port Jefferson.

My wife and I stopped by for lunch today. It really is one of the best restaurants for breakfast and lunch in the area. I’m sure dinner is great also, but we haven’t tried it yet. Our server Emelyn was wonderful. Our glasses were never empty, and we never had to look for her. The food was fantastic and at a very fair price.

Tayler is the manager at Joey Zs. As a customer service coach and trainer I must say, I will be back not only bc the food was fresh and delicious but the outstanding customer service and care that was provided was above and beyond! That is what keeps customers coming back. I will be back more often and with more people. Thank you Tayler for being so awesome. Joey Zs deserves a huge commendation.
