Best deli in SC. Being from up north it’s hard to find a good Italian deli, and this place sure is one. Owner was super nice and the sandwiches were off the charts. The desserts were also super authentic amazing Italian, and the service was impeccable. Would definitely recommend the Vodka Chicken Parm and The Don!

First timer, got the early riser by chef recommendation. Absolutely knocked my socks off. The fresh soft kaiser roll, the fresh mozz, made to order and fried to perfection cutlet, 2 eggs. Just amazing, and the tomato bacon jam and hot honey drizzle send it over the top. Definitely will be back. Thanks fellas

Got the chicken cutlet sandwich, cutlet itself was perfect and delish. Temperature was hot, ordered and it was ready quickly. There was a bit too much vinegar for my taste – really overpowered the sandwich. I would have preferred less vinegar and more basil, but overall a nice sandwich. Thanks!

I’ve ordered takeout sandwiches many times from Chuck Dawley location. Favorites are #1 Chicken Cutlet and #10 Roast beef. Fabulous sandwiches, on outstanding bread. The staff is friendly, obliging and always helpful with suggestions. Food is always ready on time, and consistently fresh, generous and hot when needed.

I tried the early riser and it was yummy! Absolutely no wait when I dropped around 9:00am on a weekday. All the seating inside an enclosed patio and there’s WiFi.

Aside from having the sandwich misnamed has Ham on its menu, they have the best Mr John Taylor’s Porkroll, egg and cheese in SC. And on a Kaiser! Thanks for making this fantastic sandwich happen despite my tardiness.

We live around the corner from this absolute gem. The owner is clearly passionate about every plate of food he puts out, whether it’s the perfectly curated paninis, variety of sides full of quality ingredients, or DELICIOUS, authentic desserts (that you might get a sample of if you’re lucky! Can’t say enough good things about this place, definitely worth a try.

This was the BEST sandwich I’ve ever had in Charleston and maybe ever. We got the number 4 and the number 10. The flavor was absolutely sensational on both sandwiches and the chicken cutlet was cooked to perfection. The roast beef was so tender and they didn’t skimp on any ingredients. I cannot wait until summer to have one of these on the beach with their house made pasta salad. If you haven’t tried this place and you want a sandwich in my pleasant this is a MUST DO.
