First time dining here. Not a fan of ordering at the counter and getting our own drinks. Half of the service is by our own effort. Then asking for the tip before delivering the food to the table. Just feels weird, in our opinion. Meatballs were warm but not hot. Flavor was good. Chicken Parm was real hot and tasty. Pizza crust was lightly cooked in the middle making it super floppy. Pizza not great.

We’ve ordered from Joey Novas a few times since moving to the area, both dining in and take out!
It can get a little crowded at the front when trying to order in person, but once you get your dinner it’ll make the wait and patience worth it! We’ve tried several different pizzas here all hand tossed, delicious. The crust actually has flavor and bite to it, which we keep coming back for!

If your dining it, grab a seat at the bar and watch them hand toss the pizzas behind the line, fun to watch, even better with their sangria in hand. Will be back again and again!

I tried the 13 ” New York Style Pizza. I added meatball toppings to it and ordered the thin crust. Being from New York myself , I figured I put this pizza to the test. The crust was made perfectly, the cheese was real and had that chewiness I prefer, the meatball topping was also tasty for that extra flavor. And the sauce was almost like NY. It was short on the zestiness and that garlicky magic. I rated this pizza a (4). I also tried the Dry Rub Wings (4). The wings were made perfectly with a nice crunch to them, the rub was also tasty but I thought it was over seasoned. If you’re in the area and having a pizza craving, this place is sure to satisfy. Wash it down with a nice cold one and you’re good to go !

This was my first time here and it turned out pretty dang good! It’s a style where you walk up to the counter and order then go find your own spot! I was in a group of 3 and we order a XL NY pizza with pepperoni and bacon bits ($40 :-/) on it & 2 slices of cheese! OH BOY!!!! That was a a lot of za!!!!! The crust was cooked and the cheese was perfect! The server was nice and polite as well. Good find and will definitely be back

One of the best pizzas that I’ve ever had! Delicious New York style pizza. Highly recommend eating in as it’s so much better fresh out of the oven. We try to come here any time we visit the area. We’re big fans of their Hawaiian pizza which they make with real Canadian bacon and fresh pineapple. Recently I had a double pepperoni pizza and it was incredible – I highly recommend trying it! Our favourite combination is doing half and half of each on an extra large!

(Last visited 4/26/2022.) Working at my company’s headquarters for a couple of weeks and a co-worker of mine mentioned that this place has AMAZING pizza and some good wings. So… I came here for lunch… then again a few days later! Lol.

Atmosphere/Appearance: Located in what I thought was Excelsior, is actually Tonka Bay right off of some water is this gem. It’s in a plaza with a few other businesses and a part of a private parking lot. The inside isn’t too crazy. You walk in and you are greeted by grand smells of pizza cooking in their huge steel ovens! The menu is overhead and the dining area is to the left. I remember a lot of exposed wood, plastic benches and just a classic looking pizza joint.

Service: I can’t remember the young lady’s name, but Sydney or Candace come to mind. Lol. Whoever it was that took care of us was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. However, all you do is just place your order at the counter, take the number they give you and go sit down then wait for you food to be brought out to you. Drinks are self-serve as well.

Food: Throughout my visits I’ve had the chance to check out 3 of their wing flavors and a couple of toppings on their pizzas. The wow factor here is about big the slices are. They literally don’t even fit onto a single plate. The edges hang over rim of the plate. Lol. So for lunch you can order the pizza + salad combo and it totally fills you up. The wings are also enormous and quite delicious I might add! I’d definitely get them again. Cajun and the Buffalo were my favorite, but the BBQ wasn’t too bad either.

Value: A single order of wings will give you 6 and it’ll cost you $10.00. Double your order for $16.50. Like I mentioned, they wings are huge so I think this is a pretty good value. Any time a day you can get a cheese slice + salad + drink for only $12.50. Toppings will cost extra of course.

In conclusion, I loved this place. However, coming for lunch and eating heavy makes for a slow rest of the work day. Lol. I ain’t trippin’ though, sometimes that’s what’s necessary!

Joey’s is BY FAR my favorite pizza in the state of Minnesota. We drive almost an hour from Hutchinson just to eat there! Thanks so much for the amazing pizza and desserts! The only thing that made me a little sad, but it’s not that big of a deal and I fully understand why, is that you quit making your croutons homemade and the Parmesan cheese on the salads aren’t the big sliced chunks anymore. I get that it’s too expensive to do that stuff now a days though! Keep up the great work guys!

First time we came here was after we were treated horribly at Hazelwood next door, and for someone who was hangry, this hit the spot. We’ve been back a few times (just me and my husband, with a big group of friends) and find that the food is good but a little pricey for us. I’d probably come back with a few friends and split a couple pizzas but can’t justify the price if it’s just the two of us. I like the atmosphere and that it’s another option in the area.

I feel we paid too much money for what my son ordered for his lunch. It was only penna pasta with spinach and chicken in his pasta meal. And he ordered 1 gluten free chocolate cookie. And it cost me $23.00 dollars for 1 food order to go out. Because my son needed to be to work at 1oclock. We waited 15 minutes to get his food. But my son didn’t get alot of food for the price I paid for it. I thought it was too much money. For the serving my son got. I was very disappointed. That I had to pay $23,00 dollars for it. The food is good. But that’s too much money. For what I had to pay for my sons meal. And it didnot come with a drink. It maybe a nice place. And people enjoy it. But you can over spend alot of money. For the food you get. I think there prices are too high. For families to pay out. Exspecially when your trying to feed your family. I think they charge too much. For what you get in food.

Amazing food and awesome staff! I came here with my significant other for a causal dining experience, and that was exactly what we got. When you walk in, you order and pay at a counter. They have a big menu on the wall with everything that you could ever want. The items can be a little pricey, but nothing crazy. You then can seat yourself at one of their booths or tables, and they will bring you your food. The food tasted like authentic New York food, and the seasoned fries were probably the best fries I’ve ever had. The portion sizes are huge, so you’ll definitely have more for later (a total plus). I recommend coming here if you love Italian, crave pizza, or just want to try something new!
