I was full but couldn’t stop eating. That’s how good the food was here. Started by splitting an order of fried green tomatoes with my husband. The shrimp were delicious and the dipping sauce was outstanding. My order of fried eggplant napoleon was not what I was expecting but it was even better than what I had imagined. The fried eggplant was fantastic and the sauce stole the show again. Sadly I sacrificed some of the shrimp to be able to finish all of the eggplant since I was pretty full at this point….but then my husband made me try some of his friend catfish which I promptly dipped in these delicious sauces…and then I thought “I bet those sweet potato fries would taste amazing in this sauce ” …and I was correct! Suffice it to say, I’m glad I could still zip up my jacket by the time we called the Uber for a ride back to the hotel, Leftovers in tow!! The service was friendly and our waitress recommended a cocktail that tasted like a Mimosa with a shot of vodka. I had to resist the urge to order a second round. This is probably the best value we got for a meal the entire time we’ve been in New Orleans. per cent recommended. The menu has enough variety to satisfy almost any appetite.

Smaller very quaint place. Really fast service. Medium portion sized. Not too spicy, very well seasoned. The Fried greed tomatoes were lights breaded with a yummy sauce. The Red Beans and Rice were so good, nice gravy and sausage

Already my new favourite spot in New Orleans.
Being a French foodie, food like this song to my heart. We took:
– the shrimp etouffé
– the veal liver
– the fish thingy en sauce

Every meal was packed with flavors and felt like a warm hug. This is the kind of balanced cuisine we’ve been looking for!
Don’t hesitate to try their specialties. Even the sangria was really good, while being only $5
I can’t wait to go back to this place!

Lindsey was our waitress and she was delightful. We got the fried seafood platter and split it. Both plates were still a good amount of food. Best thing on the plate was the fried fish, followed closely by the fried shrimp. It’s easy to walk up to while strolling Magazine st. And we had barely any wait for a lunchtime seating

Friendly service, cute place. Took a while to get check and leave. Fried green tomato app- this was ok. I wouldn’t order again though. The batter seemed like these were maybe packaged/frozen. Remoulade was different, like a hint of spice (not spicy, like nutmeg-ish or something similar). Blackened shrimp was tasty but dry which is unusual for blackened. Blackened catfish was the same, almost like it gets blackened seasoning then airfryed vs skillet. That poboy bread though, it was the absolute freshest I’ve ever had in my life! It was fantastic! We had no complaints about the seafood platter, but the fried shrimp were absolutely perfect! I would definitely go back for the fried shrimp and to try the highly praised eggplant appetizer as well as some of the plate entrees.

Omg!! This was the first time my wife and I been here. The food is so delicious, the service is amazing! We finally had a chance to make it here. I’ve seen so many good reviews about this restaurant and I see why this restaurant is awesome! The price is very reasonable as well! We will return.

Great spot and amazing food. Had the liver and onions with green beans and it was very good. Other dishes were gumbo and was two thumbs up. The catfish tacos were very good as well. Lastly, the bread pudding with rum sauce was to die for. I could have eaten a pan full if the wife would let me. Will be back soon.

I was planning on ordering in but something told me to go out and I’m glad I did. I casually walked to this place. It wasn’t super busy, the food and the drinks came out quickly and I’m glad I’m single because I didn’t have to share this lovely meal with anybody lol. I had the fried artichokes and the eggplant and shrimp appetizers with a Bloody Mary. My meal was absolutely delicious and I’m so glad I have leftovers.

Awesome place to enjoy NOLAs best food like ya mama‘s! There might be a waiting queue, but it’s worth the wait. Tasty food, nice rustic ambience. It’s a large place, too. Great for kids birthdays and such.
I really enjoyed my time.
