So for my lunch break today, I gave Joey Hamburger a shot. First off, staff was quick and friendly. The prices are great. The burger I got was the 8oz cheeseburger. The fries are what’d you’d expect for standard crinkle cut fries. The burger was good. I know it’s not like burgers&bakery or New Groove Artisan Brewery, but honestly it’s a great cheap simple burger. Buns were soft, meat wasn’t overcooked, the vegetables were fresh. Honestly one of the better budget friendly lunches that I’ve had around here.

Joey Hamburger is the new face to the previous Ricky’s Drive In name. They are open breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The clean restaurant provides tasty food and fast, friendly, and effective service. There are very few changes to this new ownership, but one of them is the chili recipe! The new chili was delicious: soft ground beef with a gravy-like flavor (no vegetables in it). Be sure to eat your thick apple turnover HOT, and the delicious onion rings are bursting with personality! The workers treat you like family, and you can tell they care and want you to come back!

Went to Joey’s today Mon.10/13 around 2:00pm. I ordered a medium Chili Cheese Fry and they ONLY put cheese on it. So I came back through the drive-thru line thinking they were going to make me a fresh one, they just handed me a cup of chili out the window. Joey’s is just Ricky’s 2.0 (Ricky’s Re-invented)…. Same food, Same people, and same horrible service. If they continue, they might need to consider closing down for good!

Pros: The workers were kind! Tables and floor was clean. The tots were fresh and good.

Joey Hamburger is exactly what you want it to be. Feels a bit nostalgic. The chili dogs are great and the atmosphere is great. Crinkle cut fries, which I do not love but I wont ding them for my personal preferences. This is the closest I have been able to find in the south to the Greek chili sauce I am used to from Western PA. Will definitely be back!

Good and bad. Good first. Quick food, good burger size and served hot. Bad. No explaining on exta charges, order accuracy poor and burger is unseasoned. I got a burger with lettuce tomato onion ketchup and mustard. The burger i got had no ketchup or mustard. Atmosphere is the same as Rickey’s that they took over. Ide like to see them do better.
