This was our first time here and on the recommendation of a family member. As a man of Sicilian heritage, I asked if the Bolognese could be kicked up with more garlic. They did NOT disappoint! There were chunks of garlic mixed in with the sauce! The server said she could smell my dinner fun around the corner. So good! The portions are very generous. I got three meals out of my dinner. The server was very friendly and attentive.

Yum! Tip: Wear elastic pants : ) The menu has SO many fabulous choices, you’ll want to get one of everything! We went for pizza and beers, so we had our mind set. (They sell beer by the bottle or pitchers). But, we have to go back for the ginormous grinders and then another visit for the meals. We looked at other tables orders and everything is large portions. You’ll leave with a doggie bag, for sure. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you receive. Parking is plentiful and a separate section for pick up orders. Just pull into your spot, and they’ll happily bring your order right to your car. The dining room and barroom have plenty of seating, in a comfortable yet classy environment. The servers are excellent and attentive. We’ve driven by numerous times and finally decided to stop in. It definitely won’t be the last. The hardest part will be deciding what you’ll want to order! Fantastic food and service today at Joe’s Garlic. Our server was friendly and attentive. She put in our kids order first so he could get started right away. We had the kids cheeseburger and fries, chicken marsala, and Detroit style barbecue chicken pizza. All were generously portioned, with plenty of the adult meals to bring home.

We had a good experience coming to this Joey’s Garlic location. Service was great the staff is very nice and welcoming. We started off with their new Philly cheesesteak egg rolls and they did not disappoint they were delicious my husband and I devoured them! Then came our salads which were also fresh and delicious! Now For our main course we were a little disappointed I picked the chicken parm and I did not like it the sauce was way too sweet in my opinion and not much flavor, the portions are huge which is nice you get to take some home but I was disappointed with the flavor! My husband picked another plate with crusted pork I believe I don’t remember the name and he said it didn’t even taste like pork he thought it was chicken so he was disappointed as well. Finally we tried the Italian ricotta donuts and those are delish def. Must try! I’m not sure if we will come back because we were not impressed by our dinners, appetizers and desserts are not something that will bring me back, but I hear the pizza is good so maybe in the future!

Great bar and atmosphere. Spencer, the bartender, is absolutely fantastic! Quick, efficient, and friendly. Food was great. Mozzarella sticks are thick and loaded with cheese. I went with a Detroit white pie (add spinach and tomato) and the other person had veal parm. Both dishes were amazing, with enough of each leftover for two more meals. My only gripe is that there are literally 40 parking spaces devoted to pick up/take out service, which is half the good parking spaces.

You know the place is good when the place is packed… Thank God for the waitlist option! The food was delicious and the drinks were to die for! The house salad with creamy gorgonzola dressing was delicious as well! Our waitress was lovely, too bad I forgot her name . Will definitely will visit again when in the Newington area!

This place was recommended to me by my friend Ray years ago. I finally made it here and I wasn’t disappointed. Unfortunately we ordered a super tasty small vodka sauce pizza as an appetizer which really outshined the entrees which were good but dang that pizza was AWESOME!!!! We will go back for more pizza!!! Nice, clean restaurant, nice staff. Go online and get on the waitlist if you are going during dinner hours.

Recently the quality of the food has drastically declined! This used to be my favorite pizza place, but in this past year, everytime I go, I leave disappointed or upset, so I am changing my 5 star review to a 1 star. This soggy “cheese” pizza was the last straw, I will not be back.
