It’s been 15 years since eating at Joeys (used to be Mario’s). So happy to come back into town and find they are still open. I was so excited to get their sub that I forgot to take a photo of the sandwich. Ordered the turkey and cheese sub with the works, including their special oil and vinegar sauce. Loads of turkey and their sauce just puts a smile on my face. This is what a great sub sandwich is supposed to be.

As a customer who has been going here since it was Mario’s deli. I’m very disappointed in the quality of the product. Meats used to be fresh sliced daily. Not it seem like it’s thawed and warmed up. The corned beef (same thing iv gotten for 15+ years) is not the same. Amd the quality and taste of the meat had definitely declined. Sadly this may be my last time there. It’s sad to see a bensenville staple crumble.

I cannot believe the audacity of this Restaurant… was never too much of a fan of how everyone is nickel and dimed to death nowadays but this one takes the cake… the offer a 2 dog special with fries for $5.50 or a single dog and fries for $3.00….. so here’s the special part these a……s do… they charge you .50 for the container the special comes in…. they just lost a customer and I hope this review continues to hurt them more… really $.50 for the container the food comes in…. that’s just unprofessional and cheap… if they’re cheap about this what else are they cheap on?????

I stopped by today to place a to go order and I literally stood at the front counter for 10 minutes while the hostess cleaned a table and then proceeded to lean on the counter of the bar speaking to another patron. She saw me standing there, looking at me several times but did absolutely nothing. Quite disappointed as I really liked the food. Do better.

I have been coming to Mario’s for 5 years now and have never had a bad experience. The owners are great, friendly people to talk to and love the fact that they remember me by name and know my order by heart! Everything is always fresh and you can tell its made in-house. The sub’s are huge and you get a lot for your money. If I lived closer to town I would eat here every day!! Delicious, delicious food!! 🙂

My Favorite Sub Place!! I try a lot of sub places, but Mario’s is, hands down, my favorite. Not only is the quality and taste of the sub amazing, but the value is great too. Their two sub sizes are 6″ and 10″, but it’s not like a Subway 6″. The sandwich is so thick and packed with meat and cheese that you’re probably getting more food from their 6″ than a Subway Foot long, and for about the same price. If you’re not into Subs, they also have some amazing pasta dishes too.
If you’re going there for lunch and you’re in a hurry, I’d recommend calling ahead to place your order. They are pretty quick at making sandwiches, but they tend to get packed during lunch time and they can only make the sandwiches so fast. All the employees are extremely friendly and make an effort to get to know you if you come in a few times. Don’t miss out on this great place!
