Ice cream was phenomenal, the service was not! Could hear the two girls working loudly talking about the woman who had ordered in front of me. Will go to the other store in town from now on.

Terrible service! Couldn’t get help because they were so busy chatting about chearleading and every time I go here it’s a mess. The cup is over flowing with ice cream all over the sides. Didn’t even offer lids when I clearly had just me and a dog but got 2 ice creams! Rude! Will not be going here again!

The dipped cone chocolate isn’t as solid as in the past, or it wasn’t applied properly. I had a drippy mess but was able to get a cup to salvage the treat.
Score points for customer service.

They still do not take cards. They also do not follow other DQ’s do with making sure the ice cream will stay in cup by turning upside down

This is an old-fashioned DQ. Cash is king here. Sorry, no credit cards are allowed. This is also the home of the original Dilly Bar mold that is still in existence and being used for handmade Dilly Bars daily (not factory machine-made) unlike a lot of other locations. Even their sizes for shakes, etc are better here. I prefer the Burlington locations over the others in SE Iowa.

Just moved here so I had no idea this was a cash only store. My son and I stood in the cold snow/rain for a good amount of time just to leave disappointed. If there was a sign, it needs to be bigger to stand out from all the other signs. Maybe put that on the main sign. The other locations hours need to be updated on Google because they say open until 10 but they were closed before 9.

The DQs in Burlington have the LARGEST size large of any DQ we have been to (in this state and others). They’re HUGE! The large cup size at other stores is the size of a medium here. Bring your appetite and grab a lid so you can freeze the left-overs.

Both the dairy queens in Burlington are great except that they refuse to come into this century with excepting a pay card/debit/credit and that they don’t take any gift cards either. My parents bought each of my girls 20$ DQ gift cards as and summer fun treat. And they couldn’t use them, they where heartbroken and my mom was just out the money for each card.

Who doesn’t love ice cream. With DQ’s ever evolving flurry menu, the possibilities are endless. The junior size is $3.98 and is enough to satisfy most anyone’s sweet tooth. My new favorite sea salt toffee fudge.
