I recently dined at this gem of a Thai restaurant and was absolutely delighted with my experience! The soft shell crab with green peppercorns was perfectly cooked, bursting with bold flavors, and had the ideal balance of spice and crunch. The Massaman lamb was equally impressive—rich, tender, and wonderfully aromatic.
I was thrilled to discover such a high-quality Thai restaurant so close to home. The menu offers a great variety, and I can’t wait to return to try more dishes!

As long term patrons (10+ years) of this restaurant, we thought it was about time we wrote a review. The food is consistently good, full of flavor and a variety of tastes. Joe is happy to adapt recipes to suit dietary requirements. Linda and the wait staff are always so welcoming, gracious and attentive.

The food was good. The service was good but make sure you bring cash if you want to split the cheque. They will take half cash / half card but won’t split a cheque half / half on two cards. “The boss doesn’t like it.” Disappointed and won’t be rushing back.

The best Thai food I’ve had in a very long time. Exceptional customer service combined with finger licking delicious food. Extremely cost effective with good size servings! The restaurant is cozy with a wonderful atmosphere. Canberra is notorious for its expensive restaurants but Joe’s Thai Food beats the odds! We are so happy to find out about Joe’s. I guess we will eating at Joe’s every fortnight.
