We found this place off a “best of Flushing Chinese food list” and added it to our walking eating tour! It’s located at the front of a small food court in the Landmark Quest Mall, at Main St. Subway Station, across from the New World Mall.

This is a busy, hole in the wall, no frills spot for some super soft and fresh made rice rolls. Definitely recommend adding some veggies to your roll for no extra charge. Their chili oil is pretty damn good too. Must go!

Great rice rolls, no complaints on the taste and quality of Joe’s. There is usually a bit of a wait since there is a line and they make everything to order, but that might actually be a plus. Definitely recommend putting chili oil on top of it, my boyfriend has negative spice tolerance and agrees with that. It’s a bit hard to find, it’s in a small strip mall and immediately on the left. I tried the Shrimp Cheung Fun and the portion was great. It was $10 though – a bit steep for just a rice roll, but not steep if you’re comparing it to food prices nowadays in general.

We ordered the Joe’s signature and shrimp party. I highly recommend both. Seating is very limited so this is not the place to hang out. Eat fast and make room for others to do the same. If not, have it to go. Really really good. Probably the best rice rolls I have had in NYC.

They freshly make it. You can watch them while making it. (expect a bit wait since it’s made fresh).

#1 Joe’s Classic – Very good cheung fun in NY. Soft, silky, smooth, filled with fragrant pieces of sausage, shrimp, coriander, soy sauce and above all, an egg to add to the umami and fragrance. It went down so easily in my mouth.

Tried the two signature rolls and didn’t think they were special. I don’t understand why this place is so hyped. There’s plenty of dim sum places that make delicious rice rolls that taste much better than this place. Each signature roll was $10, with the shrimp one tasting slightly better.

One beautiful thing about this place is consistency.
