Ariana was absolutely amazing! I held a work-related dinner for my roofing crew, and she made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. Her service was professional, attentive, and friendly. She stayed on top of everything, made sure our table was taken care of, and handled a big group like a pro.

By far this is the best mexican restaurant from all others I’ve tried in my opinion. My husband and I tried different plates and food was very delicious full of flavor and are waiter Daniel was very nice with great attitude. Great atmosphere you wont go wrong stopping and enjoy your food. I recommend this place to enjoy delicious food and there drinks!! Omg very presentable drinks. This is now a place my husband and I will continue to come i dont mind the drive cause its very worth every bite.

This was unfortunately some of the worst service we’ve ever experienced. We were seated fairly quickly, but then waited quite a while before anyone even came over. When someone finally stopped by, all they did was drop off salsa—no chips, no drink order, nothing. We waited several more minutes before someone brought chips and took our drink order.
When our drinks arrived, one was wrong, and the jalapeño margarita my husband ordered was almost undrinkable. It had so many chopped jalapeño pieces in it that he could hardly sip it through the straw.
We only saw our waiter a total of three times the entire visit: once to take our drink order, once to drop off drinks and take our food order, and one final time—after we had already finished eating—to ask if we needed anything. My husband just told him to bring the check.
The food may have been fine, but the overall service made this a very disappointing experience. We won’t be back anytime soon to this location!

Customer service was good. Host and servers were very courteous. Prices were good and the food was served fairly quickly. They serve queso along with mild and spicy salsa with the chips. Very good however the chips were partially burned toward the middle and bottom of the bowl. Didn’t bother asking for fresh chips because I didn’t want to fill up on them. I ordered the taco salad with fajitas meat. They are not stingy with the fixings. The steak was tender and tasty. The veggies were fresh and nicely diced. I hate chunky veggies on my salad. It was really good. My only concern was the shell. I really enjoy eating the shell with my salad. This shell was overcooked and tasted a bit greasy. I’ve passed this place several times and it always seems busy. I wanted to try for myself. There was a slight smell when I walked in. Like maybe a plumbing or ventilation issue. Nothing overwhelming but definitely noticeable. The customer service cost, and ambiance will rate them a second visit.

They have good food, and I’m generally not picky about paying an extra dollar for a mix of enchiladas(cheese, chicken, beef)—that’s no problem. However, I was surprised of an additional $1 charge just to have the toppings on all three enchiladas. I assumed the chili con carne sauce would naturally come on the cheese and beef enchiladas (which seems like a given), and maybe the chicken enchiladas would come with a Verde or sour cream sauce(which I asked for)—an extra $1 for that is not understandable for me.
What bothers me is how quickly the cost adds up. A $13 meal ends up turning into $17 because of these extra charges. It’s important to appreciate loyal customers, but transparent and reasonable pricing matters too.

El Mexicano is the best Mexican food around. My family have tried almost every Mexican food place in red oak and waxahachie, and continually return to this location. The staff takes good care of customers and the food is amazing. The only negative for here is the music tends to be a little too loud. This last time they had the dining area radio turned up so the kitchen staff could have their own radio going, and it was slightly off putting. That said, I will probably return in a week or so.

I have always loved this place! Even when full, they work quickly to make spaces available so your wait isn’t too long. The servers are very friendly. The food is amazing and the prices are fair. The food is consistently good (you have to try the molcajete)! If you love good Tex-Mex, this is your place!

It’s possible we just came on a bad night for service. Every single waiter was sitting at the bar. They were not just casually stopping to check the score, but actually sitting on bar stools to watch the Superbowl instead of attending to customers. Spent half of dinner without a drink because our cups weren’t refilled. We had to go to the bar to ask the waiter for more chips, and waited a while with empty plates after eating before going back to the bar to ask for our check to be brought. Only half a dozen or so tables with customers and plenty of wait staff to service everyone so it wasn’t because the restaurant was busy. On top of that, the food could be described as mediocre and flavorless at best.
