Great service, we were even asked if we preferred our ice cream flavors in a particular order in our cones. The pizza was hot and fresh, and there was a beautiful view outside when the sun is going down!

Love the Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream they sell!!! I just discovered it a year a ago and it’s my favorite ice cream in Eastern Iowa. I love the Halley’s Comet, Kitty Kitty Bang Bang, Mint Chip, and the Raspberry Rhapsody is really good too. They are worth every calorie. I know they are popular for their pizza but I haven’t tried that yet.

We are from the Independence area. We were closing up our camper for the season and decided to stop at the Guttenburg location. Service was top notch and the atmosphere was great. The taste of the pizza was great minus the crust being really thin which was soggy because of toppings and being thin. If the crust wasn’t so thin it would have been more enjoyable. Maybe Independence does their crust differently but I like it a little bit thicker like they do it. Picture attached of Independence’s crust.

When we drive to places near the Mississippi River, here’s a favorite place to get one of our favorite ice cream flavors in a cone or in a cup. Everyone of us had our special request fulfilled thanks to staff at Joe’s Pizza in Guttenberg Iowa. They have a game room in back and a unisex bathroom. Pizza also served here, enjoy! Really nice pizza and ice cream place right across the street from the Mississippi River. We had ice cream. It was amazing. Service was quick and very friendly. There was a line, but it moved super quick.
