Worst jerk I ever had in my 33 years of living. The chicken isn’t seasoned or spiced at all, the macaroni is ORANGE. The yams taste like regular yams nothing special, but overall this plates get a 1/10. I would never recommend anyone to eat here even if you were on the brink of starvation. Get McDonald’s before you check this spot out, and when I called all the cashier could say was “I’m sorry you didn’t like it”.

So I’m updating my review after giving the food another try. 5/5 on the oxtail with rice and pea and steamed cabbage and yams as a side. This visit the food gave me all the right flavor and the plate was packed. I’d continue to visit.
I’m going to give an honest review. Because I love food. Now the last place I went canceled my order. They didn’t have oxtails and that is what I want when I have Jamaican food. So I searched and found this place less than 3 miles from my house. Service excellent. Neighborhood ehhh but that’s fine. I’m passing through. Nice looking decor outside and in. Green and yellow neat and clean. I take my food home. Opening the packaging was nice brown bags and containers. Fork to each bag. Thank God because people have been slacking on utensils lately. The food was just what people said. 29.99 per plate. Three oxtails per plate. Large. Nones little meat. Flavor did not stick. So it tasted like hard rubber. I had one oxtail that was tender and tasted right out of three. My daughter had two that were tender and one that was like rubber. Cabbage. We both ordered the cabbage. It was edible. Cooked tender. But not full of flavor. Mac and cheese. My daughter had this. She said no thanks. Yams. I had them. They were cut in large chunks. Of course, the flavor did not translate. For the price, not worth it and I wanted to make this my new spot. If I would return? Well, I’d say maybe they make good jerk chicken and that’s what people hit then up for. I’m not sure. Maybe I’d step in to see if I’d give that a chance. But that’s not what I order. So I’d don’t know that I’d ever drive that way again.

This is my first time trying this jerk place and this will be my last $25 for dinner and you get no bread to come with it. The macaroni is orange and it’s nasty. The only thing good was the rice give you a big thick sweet potato I’m lost in my chicken was cold✌

So I was in this restaurant and the lady taking my order was very rude and disrespectful. Nasty attitude seems she didn’t want to be at work. I will never go back and I will tell all the Bruzz not to patronize this location. I had the curry goat it was tough and nasty, it didn’t taste like curry at all. This was my first and last time. ( How can you have bad service as well as bad food.)

I didn’t know this place existed until I stopped by nearby and was hungry. This place is the bomb. Incredible food for the price. Absolutely love the catfish lunch…. I wish I lived in the area. Awesome job ladies.

Wouldn’t eat here at all if I was anybody that actually cared about their health. I am currently 22 weeks pregnant and I got a 1/2 dark dinner with Mac and yams. Upon returning home I discovered my chicken to be completely pink on the inside. I called the restaurant to speak to manager which is when they informed me they “didn’t have a manager” but that I could bring the food back for a replacement. I arrived and some random man claiming to be the manager approaches me and asks me what’s wrong with my food and after showing him the bright pink chicken this man had the audacity to tell me that it is jerk chicken and that’s how it’s made, I’ve had dark meat and jerk chicken from numerous places and I have NEVER seen it be pink on the inside like this. They did replace my food that was miraculously whiter after they cooked it longer so I just grabbed my food and left. I will attach an image of this undercooked concoction they originally served me and tried to convince me it was prepared right below. I will also attach a description of what jerk chicken should look like as well as an image of what other undercooked chicken looks like.
Disclaimer; I only tried this place because I thought it would be good like ya mon, HUGE MISTAKE, not only was it pink but it was flavorless and simply had no taste at all.

Excellent portions and the food tasted great. I ordered the jerk catfish meal. It came with two sides, I got the cabbage and the Mac and cheese and both were excellent. The jerk sauce was flavorful with a nice kick to it. The fish was cooked perfectly. Staff were a bit cold, but at least the food was warm. Overall an excellent value, had enough food for two meals.

If you go do not get the oxtail, for 23 dollars it a scam, little piece of meat and not a lot of piece, the mac and cheese fire, the cabbage was good the rice was hard. My girl jerk chicken was good she said a lot of chicken so that a good thing.
