The takeout ordered by the college, came from this pizzeria that opened in 1975. It mainly serves American fast-food style pizzas. I’d actually passed by the shop three times already, but it never looked very appetizing, and after eating, I found it just average as expected.

Plain Cheese Pizza with Mushrooms: The massa (not the cornicione) was quite good, soft yet chewy, and the cheese was subtle yet smooth. The mushroom’s flavor was also relatively rich and understated, which I personally thought was the best match.

Plain Cheese Pizza with Pepperoni: This one was squeezed out of shape, and the cornicione was particularly dry and hard. The pepperoni itself was good—thin, soft, and chewy—but with the cheese, it became a bit too salty.

Caprese Pizza: Without the meaty base, the tomato flavor became too sharp and refreshing. The basil was tasteless, yet the mozzarella cheese was barely noticeable.

tried the famous joes pizza expecting a great quick eat but was a bit disappointed, the pizza is decent but pretty pricey. we tried the fresh mozzerella slice and the pepperoni slice were both tasty with a nice tomato sauce flavour and thin crispy base. cool setting with all the celebrity pictures

As soon as we walked in we were welcomed. The service was great and the pizza was sooo good, fresh and crispy. We loved the atmosphere, the workers and the pizza that we had to come back a second time before we left Boston. The second time we came they welcomed us and remembered us. The workers (Francisco, Omar, Jose, Dassu) and a couple more that I was not able to get their names were always smiling, welcoming everyone in and were very attentive and fast. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a slice of pizza. Should open one up in Austin Tx!!

Amazing New York style pizza. Totally worth a hype.
The staff were sweet and helpful in making us choose our pizzas. Very quick service.
The seasonings available elevate the flavor of the pizzas.
Great experience! You could grab pizza and go to nearby parks and eat as well!

Perfectly located right across from the Harvard train station. It’s always busy, the line moved quickly though.

The first thing that catches your eye are the walls covered with celebrity photos, easily 50–60 of them.

It’s a great spot for a quick bite. Nothing fancy, but the food tastes good and a single slice is enough to fill you up.

I don’t know what the hype is about!
The pizza was highly average.
The service is nice but the place is dirty, and loud. The table counters were scattered with previous patrons plates/ tissues etc.
The wall of fame was pretty cool though.
I have seen the crazy line outside their NYC location but never been inside because of the said crazy line. Maybe it’s just me.

3.5 stars. Enjoyed the everything and margarita. The spinach overpowered the pizza and had a different cheese that wasn’t as good. About $5 per slice. Fast service at a busy lunch time. If you order more than 3 slices get a whole pie.

Joe’s is on my short list of reliably tasty pizza joints in Boston/Cambridge. Their Margherita is my favorite. Light, thin, crispy, & not heavy. Added red pepper flakes to complement the red sauce. See attached photos (I like it spicy). A single slice will run you around $5. A whole pie will be around $30. It’s worth it. Place is always busy, so know what you want. Most people grab ‘n go or stand & eat. Lots of celeb photos on the walls to keep you occupied while you wait or eat.

Joe’s Pizza is my favorite pizza place — I love thin-crust pizza, and that’s why I keep going back. My all-time favorite is the cheese pizza with ricotta, spinach, and mushrooms. I really hope they bring this combo back! Last time I visited, they added the mushrooms afterward, but I believe it would taste even better if everything were baked together.
