.It was a Sunday, not busy. They should take the time and do it right. Customer service was good, friendly cashier. It’s unfortunate but I would rather go to Costco for pizza.
If you are from NYC or Long Island and what a taste of home, this is the only Place you need. Everything is good. A variety of Pizza styles. But their Cheese is so good. I have tried to make my own as anyone from NYC area knows there is nothing like Our Pizza. If you want a slice that tastes like Brooklyn, Look no further. Enjoy. I Love it so much, I get a slice while I wait for a pie.
Bathroom was out of toilet paper but got some from the cashier.
Price for the pizza is on the higher end. Spaghetti price is average.
Dad found a pizzeria that fit our criteria (high rating, big parking lot, and not downtown). Its name was Joe’s New York Style Pizza.
We walked in at 1:30 in the afternoon, and our sights were set on two types of pizza: cheese, and pepperoni. We got about 6 slices in total. I hate to say this, but it was just regular pizza. The cheese was far better than the pepperoni. I’m going to give the cheese a 7.8/10 and the pepperoni a 6.8/10. The pepperoni was too spicy. I do acknowledge that we got slices ALREADY made. Maybe, we should’ve asked them to make us a fresh pizza.
I made a little discovery, too. It’s a drink called Loganberry from the brand Crystal Beach. The label explains the brand was inspired by an amusement park on the shores of Lake Erie. Loganberry combines the flavour of ripe blackberries and red raspberries. To me, it had a pomegranate flavour. It’s very close to the taste of Fruitopia Integration. I’ll give Loganberry a 7.5/10.
This experience was a reminder that in the food world, you’re not going to love everything you try. But, through this process of elimination, you filter out the stuff you don’t like; and therefore, are left with what you do like.
The pizza is thin, the crust is crispy, and the slices are those classic large triangles. The best for us was the cheese pizza. We don’t usually crave a plain cheese on tomato sauce pizza in Toronto, but Joe’s changed our minds. It’s never smelled or tasted this good. When you go to New York, a thin crust cheese slice is a must, and Joe’s does it right.
There are other pizza slices to tempt you in the glass enclosure, and you should try them to compare, but the cheese slice wins every time. Oh, and you’ve got to eat it folded — like a real New Yorker.
Joe’s restaurant isn’t fancy, but it’s clean. The service is good, the price is reasonable, and they also deliver to the surrounding area. But if you’re like us, you’ll cross the Canadian border if you’re in the Niagara region to get it.
Highly recommend.
