Fast service, clean and excellent staff as well. Portions are big. Also recommend their Jasmine tea. Its given in huge porcelain pot.
Delicious Dumplings — Especially the Crab Soup Dumplings!
I had a great experience at this dumpling spot. The food came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The absolute standout for me was the Crab Soup Dumplings — seriously, they were amazing. Super juicy, rich, and packed with flavor. After trying those, the chicken soup dumplings honestly didn’t hit the same level for me — not bad, just overshadowed because the crab ones were next-level good.
We also ordered the scallion pancake, and it was really well done — crispy on the outside, soft inside, and so satisfying. Perfect starter to share.
The restaurant itself has a nice, warm vibe, and everything felt clean and well-organized. Overall, a really enjoyable meal. I’d absolutely come back again, especially for those crab soup dumplings!
Three of us walked in after visiting a nearby cathedral and ordered three stir-fry dishes and three bowls of rice. The menu that servers showing to us clearly listed all stir-fry dishes at $15.95 each, and rice at $2.50 per bowl.
However, when the bill arrived near the end of the meal, we were surprised to see that two people were charged $22.95 each and one person was charged $23.95, with no notice of any price difference from the menu. No updated menu was shown.
One of the dishes (Beijing-style shredded pork with Garlic Sauce) also had a strong, unpleasant odor, possibly from the pork or the pickled bamboo shoots. The person who ordered it could only eat a few bites due to concerns about freshness and food safety.
At checkout, we were also forced to pay a mandatory gratuity, with only preset options of 18%, 20%, or 22%, with no option to decline or adjust. After tax and the mandatory tip, the total came to over $90 for three people, meaning over $30 per person. Based on the menu prices, even with tax and a reasonable tip, the total should have been around $22–$23 per person.
Update: The restaurant responded on another platform but blocked further communication. The dish in question was not edible due to a strong odor, regardless of the explanation provided.

Update on Jan first, 2026:
Dear Joe’s Owner:
I want to clarify that this was not simply a “menu misunderstanding.”
We dined on Christmas Day. While the restaurant insists that everything was clearly stated on the menu, in practice the layout and communication made pricing easy to misunderstand, especially for visitors and first-time customers.
More importantly, one dish (the shredded pork with Spicy Garlic Sauce) was clearly not acceptable in quality. At the time of payment, I hesitated, but the server spoke in a commanding tone, telling me that I must leave a tip. Because it was a holiday and I was dining with others, I chose not to escalate the situation on the spot or ruin the atmosphere.
That does not mean the experience was acceptable.
Explanations about how ingredients are prepared or discarded behind the scenes are not something customers can verify. What customers can judge is what is served to them and how they are treated. From a customer’s perspective, the combination of confusing pricing, pressure at checkout, and food quality that did not match the price left a very poor impression.
This review reflects my real experience. I am sharing it so other diners can make an informed decision.
Regards
jane
The staff and the restaurants vibe were pretty good in my opinion.
I’m giving it two stars only because the service was good.
The service was very poor, and unfortunately the food had an unpleasant smell. We waited outside for about 30 minutes, but they never called us—even though people who arrived later were immediately seated without reservation. It felt like they were very selective about who they let in.
We ordered the dumpling soup from different type and they were okay, but the steamed dumplings were really bad. They had a strong smell, not because of bamboo that they were served in, because of the food itself. It was so overwhelming we couldn’t continue eating.
Forgot to take photo of the soup dumpling but t highly recommend to get them. Love the pork and crab ones.
Other dishes we like shredded pork, beef and squid. The rice cake is also good and flavorful than it looks on photo
Lion head was okay. Too many flour very little meat
