Mexican & Tex-Mex dishes, plus tequila cocktails, offered in an upbeat hangout with live music.

My indecisive husband couldn’t commit to any one place to eat this evening. So, before passing the entrance, we took a sharp turn into Joe’s Grill & Cantina. Let me tell you, we didn’t realize how much we were craving Mexican cuisine until we arrived here!
The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, as is the staff. The food was just as delicious too! Definitely a place to bring family and know you are going to get your money’s worth of good food. Thank you Joe’s!

Have eaten 2 times and food is very good. My husband loves the taco salad! We really enjoy the variety of draft beer as my husband likes dark beer like the porter they have on tap. Hard to fine good dark beer on tap. I enjoy the blue moon and the beer is good and cold.

Overall, a really solid Tex-Mex restaurant. The salsa and chips are fresh and delicious. They have lunch menus (M-F) for $10 and many different plates/options that are under $20. The portions are good sized. The staff is super friendly, attentive, and helpful.

First time visiting, service is good. Chips and salsa came out quickly. Server was very nice.
The queso and guacamole were okay but definitely maybe more spice and flavor.
The fajitas were just bland. Cook correctly. Nice tender juicy just needed more spice and flavor. We tried the brisket, the bacon, and the shrimp. The shrimp was the best of the three.
Nothing at all wrong with the food. Just not very authentic.
Prices were very reasonable.

Didn’t like the food or country music atmosphere. Thought this was supposed to be a Mexican restaurant. Mexican food has flavor and the music is good also. Ok. You say this is Tex-Mex. Del Taco makes better food, especially tacos. Yours were under size and flavorless.

First time visiting Joe’s last night. It was pretty empty for a Saturday night and we were glad! We ordered chicken nachos to share and a skillet brownie as well ahead of time. Waiter was very nice and attentive however he brought the ticket and no brownie. But I was stuffed so it worked out. Only cost is $8.75 to eat for two. No charges for our drinks, not alcoholic FYI.

I came on taco Tuesday at 6pm . The place was packed . I was excited about trying a new Tex mex place, chips and salsa were good. So good start. I ordered a ground beef taco and burrito. I received an enchilada and taco, no biggie, I like both. But it was disappointing as so many are . It was a store bought crunchy taco shell, plain barely seasoned ground beef with lettuce and cheese . The enchilada was just the same plain ground beef in a corn tortilla with some shredded melted cheese on top. It’s a cute little place . Food is Meh. I think a good place for margaritas and chips/salsa.

Have not been disappointed so far by this restaurant, they have good happy hour specials and taco Tuesdays there are definitely a hit, cheap drinks and dollar crispy tacos, beef or chicken.
It is a TexMex restaurant with a bit different flavor profile than the rest. The brisket tacos (pictured) are very good and I like that they add avocado to them.

We came on the perfect night! They had live music served up with their amazing fresh cuisine. This is not your typical Mexican food. It was fresh, flavorful, and offered unique combinations served hot and fresh! We had a wonderful server (Felissa) who was patient, accommodating, and knowledgeable of the menu. She was like a ninja with drink refills and just genuinely pleasant. We felt very taken care of while being allowed to enjoy our delicious meals. We tried the tableside guacamole. This was the best tableside guac we have ever had! My son had a cup of queso with beef and the salsas and poblano sauce were tasty as well. For our entrees, my husband created his own enchiladas with crawfish, mushrooms, and bacon covered in the poblano sauce. My son enjoyed the delicious tamales with queso as his topping. I had the chicken avocado wrap. Best wrap I have ever tasted. The sole reason we came to Joe’s was to see Erin Detherage AKA Dr. SHRED. We have seen Erin several times in varied locations. She NEVER disappoints!! She plays a variety of tunes from many genres and time periods. She is such a crowd pleaser. Inevitably people sing along and many stop eating just to watch her amazing skill on guitar. Her hands move so fast that they blur and all of her music is from memory. I happen to know that last night was a new set with a more mellow vibe, but she played it smooth and steady like she had been playing it her entire life. If you get the opportunity to see her play, GO!!!

It’s disappointing when a local restaurant we’ve loved and supported starts to go downhill. We’ve always made an effort to stick with local spots not just because they’re local, but because of the heart, service, and quality they offer. Sadly, one of our favorites has really changed lately, and not for the better.
The service isn’t what it used to be, and the food just doesn’t have the same care or flavor. We truly hope you can turn things around. Supporting local only works when quality and pride are still part of the experience.
