This place was absolutely ridiculous! They are very unprofessional and scattered! The owner tried to set my tip rate for her friend that she hired as the bartender the first time I went in I had a sample of a white wine they lady actually charged me for the sample shot I’m from California maybe it’s a RI thing but that’s crazy I had 2 glasses of wine I was told they were 3 dollars a glass but she requested $15 I paid it.. But the second time she went too far trying to charge me $30 for drinks that were not made correctly and get this the last drink I had was thrown out while I was in the ladies room. I just bought it why would you sell me a drink and then close the bar 6 hours early and try and charge me $30 dollars not happening lady you already got $9 extra dollars the first time around. I told her that her charges were wrong and why would I tip someone who made my drink wrong right in front of me I told her not to put a fake sweetner in my vodka just lime she looked right at me and said you’ll like this I said NO I won’t…. I didn’t I drank as much as I could not to waste but I asked for another drink… The one she made and threw out after I only had 2 sips I’m from California that doesn’t room that way sweetheart closed the bar 6 hours early threw out my drink and your telling me to tip her a high amount? Pull this leg it plays jungle bells… The best part is the owner who has now closed the bar was sending me crazy messages because I told her that I’m not paying that amount… She told me RI is small and she will let all the other businesses owners know … Know? Know what? That your an incompetent fool that’s ok I just Did!!!! the funniest thing is she was talking about the loss of money almost like I single-handedly ruined that bar and caused it to collapse financially because I didn’t pay her $30 well you already got nine extra dollars out of me that first time and now your vodka drinks are $6 a piece one was made wrong the other one was thrown out the bar was closed 6 hours early and you think I’m going to pay you $30 dollars? Where did you get your math skills? I think you need to see Dr.Suess about your unregistered emotions that you spew onto new patrons just trying to get to know the town really bad impression! I found a great place down the street where the people were kind and friendly thank goodness because I was like I can’t stay here if this is how people are in Cumberland Rhode Island ️ I did however meet a couple of nice older gentlemen at Joe’s that were really kind and witnessed the rude bartender I don’t think she likes woman we empower each other in Southern California not tear other woman down. I would say to both the ladies I encourage with caren and Laurie Don’t ever go to California they won’t like you and mostly you will feel incredibly inferior… A gentleman was talking to me in the whole time she wanted to tell me he was married… Neither one of us were interested in the other.. she proceeded to pull up Facebook and pull up his wife… Ultimately when she closed down the bar she left with that gentleman ️I believe the real issue was this scenario….
