First off, the food is great. After that things go downhill fast. Staff is terrible, frequently getting simple tasks wrong. I’ve learned to watch them like a hawk, but my wife didn’t realize she needed to do that. She ordered 10 egg everything bagels and 2 whole wheat everything bagels. It wasn’t until she arrived home that she discovered she had 12 regular everything bagels. She will not go there again. There are other bagel shops in the area which are also good. We will be giving them our business in the future.

I just stopped to pick up and order on my way home from getting a flu shot across the street at Walgreens. What I saw when I entered melted the heart of this special education high school teacher. Working on my order was a young man who was visibly autistic, stimming, talking to himself and pacing. He took his time to ensure that my wrap was wrapped perfectly and everything was just perfect. Other staff made sure to check on me and seemed to want to speed him along, but I told them I was fine and to let him take his time, he was taking care of it for me. He did a great job and I truly appreciated that he was not only hired, but working with customers and no one seemed to bat an eye or treat him different. That is all I want for my own students after they graduate and I will always support businesses who normalize my students and accommodate their needs to assist them in being successful. Thank you! I subtly left an extra tip just because of how heart warming this was to see.

Called and ordered BEC SPK with ONE slice of pork roll. I got 3 slices of pork roll and 2 slices of bacon. Go and get a new one and guy asked if if I want to try again. No kid I want what I ordered I dont want to try.

I’m not usually one to leave reviews at all but if I could leave zero stars I would. I doordashed this meal so did not see it until it arrived to my job. Bagels were thick and super doughy, they did not taste home made. I also bought a piece of crumb cake that I was super excited to try ONLY to find a A LITERAL FLY BAKED INTO THE PIECE IF CAKE right on top. How was this not noticed???? I spotted it through the wrapping too. Don’t even want to imagine how many other bugs are cooked into their food

Why can’t Joe’s Bagels EVER get it right?
How hard is it to make an everything bagel, toasted WELL DONE with butter? Apparently, too hard for Joe’s. This isn’t my first frustrating visit, but it will definitely be my last.
I ask for my bagel well done every single time, and every single time it comes out barely toasted, slightly brown at best. Meanwhile, the guy behind the counter is too busy chatting with his coworker to notice. Without even glancing at the bagel, he slaps some butter on it and hands it over like the job’s done.
I always have to stop and say, “Does that look well done to you?” And every time, I get the same deer-in-the-headlights stare, followed by, “Oh… do you want me to toast it more?” Seriously?
By the grace of God, someone please help this kid—because food service is clearly not his thing. I’ve tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, I believe in second chances… but there will not be a third.
Do better, Joe’s.

If I could leave a lower rate I would. We just ordered from here because its close to where we live, and we needed something to eat before we headed off to go somewhere,
Our order was completely wrong. My husband got a jalapeño bagel or something spicy in his bagel & he cant even eat jalapeños .. so we had to stop somewhere else for breakfast making us late to our appointment. My order was wrong , they didnt even give me the extra hashbrown i ordered which they did charge me for.
if this place was super duper cheap we’d maybe just shrug it off
but each bagel is $7.25 and add on hashbrowns n breakfast potatoes are $1.25.
Literally cant afford to make such crazy mistakes.
Thankfully my husband isnt ALLERGIC to jalapenos.
This is ridiculous.
We will never order from here again, and Ill be sure to let everyone I know aware of the horrible service this place provides.

Worst breakfast sandwiches in NJ! We all know that NJ is known for a killer pork roll and meat sandwich…right?! Well, my husband and I accidentally ended up at Joe’s while down the shore. We ordered two pork roll and cheese sandwiches on everything bagels.
1. The sandwich was cold.
2. The cheese wasn’t even melted.
3. The bagel was hard and tasted old.
4. The pork had no flavor…how?!
I’m so confused. Did they just slap everything on an old bagel and wrap it up?!
The staff were friendly and prompt…hence the one star.

both times that I’ve gone to this place have been a bad experience. The food is not well cooked. It’s either undercooked or burnt like this sandwich right here. The fries are literally undercooked. My next steps is the health department. This is unacceptable. Just got people in there fooling around instead of taking, the preparation of peoples food seriously I work in the food industry. This type of stuff could get a restaurant in trouble.
