Hands down one of the best chicken spots around. The chicken was perfectly crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor — absolutely on point. Everything tasted fresh, portions were generous, and nothing missed.

Food was amazing! Chicken was hot and juicy. Mac and cheese was on point! Now let’s talk bout the service. The drive thru has been closed forever, with a sign on it. It was freezing cold outside today but I went in anyway… the young lady at the counter was deep in her phone. So much so I took her picture. She was friendly enough. But she was definitely still on her phone when I placed my order. Good service is hard to find.

Plenty of seating and parking available . Cody even stopped by to make sure it all tasted delicious!
The slaw Sammie was amazing and full of flavor from the fire in da hole sauce!!! Yummy Mac & cheese.
The nuggz with hot sauce was delicious and I highly suggest the garlic Parmesan fries dipped in ranch is a must have!!!!
Coke products and tea/ lemonade available.
Desserts include banana pudding , cookies & cream or strawberry shortcake.

We saw this driving by and decided to grab a quick lunch.
We got chicken and waffles and chicken nuggets meals at the “Hot” spice level. Chicken was juicy and the heat level was ok, probably could go 1 level up…next time…
Waffles were crunchy and chewy not dry.
Overall it was awesome!
Hopefully next time we come by we can try some desserts!

The food speaks for itself. The friendly and patient (took us a little while to decide) staff make it even better. Chicken has a crispy outer coating but still juicy inside. Mac and cheese is great. Clean restaurant with plenty of seating and parking.

After having the best Nashville Hot Chicken experience IN Nashville, I’ve been seeking out a closer replacement. This is by FAR the closest I’ve found. I do think their mild isn’t that bad and would try hot next time. I do wish they were fried FRESH so they were crispier and juicier. Great sauces, loved the SUPER thin fries. Sweet tea was ok.

I absolutely love Joella’s Hot Chicken. They food, the service, and the atmosphere are all amazing. We come up to Carmel from Greenwood, just to get their Ella’s Fave chicken, yummy kale salad, and bbq sauce. We really wish there was one closer to home. We have lots of friends on the Southside that love Joella’s too.

Showed up at 8:20pm (they close at 9pm) and saw 2 workers inside laughing and giggling while I’m trying to order… No one ever came to take my order and those “workers” proceeded to leave well before 9pm. I get not wanting to stay past closing, but if I decided to close my store down 40 min early it’s a $10k fine so not sure why this store gets to mislead customers without consequence.
