We had a great dinner at Joe and Mimma’s. The atmosphere is quiet, family-style, and old-school Italian in the best way. It is easy to see why they have been in business for more than 50 years.

Service was friendly and attentive from start to finish.

Everything we ordered was delicious, including Caesar salads, garlic knots, baked ziti, and especially the penne alla vodka with chicken, which was the standout of the meal. Portions were generous and the quality of the food was excellent.

Pricing felt fair and realistic for both the quality and quantity of food we received.

A great local restaurant with good food and good service. We will definitely be back.

We came to visit from Philadelphia with our Virginia family. They suggested we try this place for somewhere new to eat.
Upon arrival the entry is a bit dim. We weren’t greeted immediately but on the next time she walked by.
We asked to be seated at a booth and some time to review the menu. We were looking and undecided so we asked questions about a few of the items and because of the price you didn’t want to order and then waste the food.
So we ordered the Philly cheese steak sub, the cheese steak Stromboli, Ceasar salad and cheeseburger, fries and onion rings and two drinks.
The sub was supposed to have provolone cheese, American and cheddar. No provolone cheese was on it and the sub did not cover the bread. The Stromboli once she picked it up all the meat slid to the bottom leaving nothing but bread at the top. The Ceasar salad she said was just okay and the burger the same. But the onion rings stole the show for me.
But the price of the food ($73) did not match the portions served and the customer service was lacking. It seemed like she didn’t want to be bothered. So she came and gave us to-go containers and a cup for my lemonade. (The paper barely made it back to the hotel). We tipped and left.
However, there was a female teenager that came over and spoke and offered us bags for our food. She had the warmest and friendliest demeanor and good observation at reading the situation. I wish her all the best on life’s journey.

The pepperoni pizza and the Alfredo pasta with shrimp were both excellent and the portions were large. The Cesar salad was crisp and plentiful. The mozzarella sticks were crispy and crunchy though not as melty as they could have been. The bread served with the salad would have been better if it was toasted a little. The waitress was kind and kept our drinks refilled, which means a lot.

WOW! This was such a great experience. Harold, the owner, sat down with us and was great conversation while we waited for our food (which was incredibly good- get the garlic bread). Very friendly and warm environment. Our waitress was also super kind and attentive. We will definitely be coming back here- thank you!

FIRST TIME VISIT I ordered carryout: 1 large Caesar salad with chicken, 2 fettuccine with chicken dinners and 1 tiramisu, the total came to $69! (I did not know the total until at pickup)
Price breakdown: Salad with added chicken, 8.99+3.99, each fettuccine with chicken dinner, 15.99+6.00, Tiramisu, 5.99
The chicken was rotisserie like pieces (as seen in the photos) Very pricey for the extra charge of chicken and not worth the value. Fettuccine tasted good but not great. The Caesar dressing was delicious.

We had such a wonderful experience at this Italian restaurant! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed.

The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The pasta tasted homemade, the sauces were rich and perfectly seasoned, and the portions were generous without being overwhelming. We also loved the appetizers and desserts; everything tasted authentic and prepared with care.

Great place. Food and service are top notch. I stop by any time I have a chance to.The steak and cheese sandwich I had there was one of the best I’ve ever had. There is no way to go wrong with anything on the menu to be honest.

I’ve eaten here my whole life and I’m 43 years old lol! They have the BEST Italian sub I’ve ever had in my life – their Italian dressing / oil and vinegar dressing is unmatched!!! No matter how hard I try I can not recreate their Italian subs or dressing at home!! Also their pizza is my husbands favorite pizza!!!! This restaurant is a local staple for York county and I’d be devastated if it ever closed down. You guys should sell your Italian dressing by the bottle ! It’s perfect!
