Great service. We went for my sisters birthday. They took the cake right away for us. Offered to cut it and even brought out a candle! They were all so nice and the food was excellent as well. I like that they offer lunch portions

Had the Lasagna with side meatball along with Chicken Parmigiana-
Meatball was authentic! Sauce old school!
Lasagna- not enough layers, used thick béchamel layer was “different “ but good.
Chicken Parm was pounded way too thin. Was “ok”- have had better and for price point was disappointing.
Place was clean, staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Except when we didn’t want dessert, felt like “ok i am busy here’s your check” feeling.

Food was delicious except for mussels I. White sauce was lacking flavor.
We got scallops and shrimp in a blush sauce. The crabmeat and scallops in white sauce.

We’ve been eating here for decades, the best Italian restaurant in NJ hands down. Amazing food, the bread, salad, pasta all fresh and the staff is always great, honestly it’s one of the reasons we still live in NJ..lol totally casual too, seafood is always fresh, chicken Parm is the best. Went for Father’s Day and was very satisfied with our dinner. Our waitress was attentive and very skilled at her job. The free bread and salad were fantastic (that garlic bread makes my mouth water just thinking about it). The entrees were great just a little bland, easy fix with table salt and pepper. The cost for quality was reasonable. The pasta is homemade! We will definitely be back!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Joe Italiano’s Maplewood Hammonton, NJ, a beloved establishment that’s been serving since 1945. It was lunchtime so I opted for the classic pasta and lunch platters lunch menu, and I must say, it was simply put OUTSTANDING! The homemade pasta was fantastic, and the Lobster Fri Diavolo was perfectly spiced and beautifully presented. Each bite was a taste sensation, with the dish featuring fresh, mouthwatering lobster in a sauce that was absolutely 100% AC Mike approved.
The salad was equally impressive as always, with fresh veggies and a delightful dressing. And let’s not forget the garlic bread—oh my goodness! The fresh loaf was soft and paired perfectly with butter. Our server Justin was exceptional, providing top-notch service throughout the meal.
A quick personal story: back in 1974, when I was just nine years old, my parents decided to take me out for dinner. My mom insisted I put on my jacket, and we headed to Joe Italiano’s Maplewood in Hammonton. I fondly remember ordering the Lobster Fri Diavolo lol at 9 yrs old and I still love it today! The entire menu is fantastic, including the dessert options, and the drinks are great as well.

Usually very good, this time had less than good dishes.
We ordered the mussel appetizer, the shells were decent size but the mussels inside were very small & mostly dried up, they did replace that order better but still some dried up.
The Chilean sea bass we ordered was very small and flat compared to previous ones we ordered in the past almost like an appetizer size portion it was okay but left us disappointed

The Broccoli rabe and calamari was excellent.
My wifes scallops although small were plentiful and tasty
Our friend had a seafood dish she enjoyed and was also a nice size portion.

1st time visiting the area and decided to come here. Outstanding. Alex was our waitress and was great. The corn and crab soup was a meal in itself. I got the shrimp and crab pasta and wifey got the shrimp fra diavolo. This would be our go to spot if it were closer to Baltimore. I think the mall needs you guys more than you need them. Fantastic guys.

I believe Joe Italiano’s Maplewood is the best Italian restaurant in South Jersey! The food is consistent and always great and fresh. We have never been disappointed with either the food or the service. This past Saturday, June 7th, we celebrated my wife’s 75th birthday with her 3 adult children and 6 of her 7 grandchildren and it couldn’t have gone better. Everyone was happy with both the menu choices and their selections. Our server Erin provided outstanding service throughout and everyone from the hostess to the bus boys were friendly and bent over backwards to accommodate us, including the fussy grandchildren. This is why the Maplewood is our favorite restaurant. We eat there in Hammonton and Mays Landing regularly. Sometimes lunch and Sometimes dinner. They never disappoint. Usually it’s just the two of us and this time was the first time to challenge them with a party of 13 and that experience is what made me realize just how good they are. On a busy Saturday night they made us feel as if we were the only party there and did it smoothly and stress free. Thank you Maplewood!

Unfortunately we was disappointed. My stuffed shells were bland and the sauce was watery. His chicken marsala barely had any chicken and again the sauce was watery. His appetizers were delicious.
