Looked up burgers in Nanaimo, this place caught my eye. One of the best non chain mom and pop type Burgers iv had in a while.

We were passing through Nanaimo and I asked Reddit where we should stop for lunch. Joe Burger came up a couple times so we decided to check it out.
It’s tucked inside a dying mall, which are usually my favourite types of malls to visit. A bonus was that this mall allows dogs on leash everywhere inside.
The gal at the counter who served us was incredibly friendly and a pleasure to deal with. The food was great. Burgers were tasty. Portion sizes were large. The poutine was good and the onion rings were cooked perfectly. I would definitely recommend this place to someone looking for a good burger in the Nanaimo area.

Every time I decide to leave a review for Joe Burger I regret not having a picture. Because I can’t seem to resist myself from eating it the sooner I get it on my hands LOL. It is “The Best Burger” in town. You pay fast food price but get a restaurant quality gourmet burger. And it is fulfilling, fresh, delicious, tasty and has the perfect balance. I think it’s the fresh beef patty that they make from fresh ground beef on the spot, that makes it taste so much better than any other fast food burger. I just love Joe burger so much. Every time I go to country club mall I always get their burger. And not to mention their staff there r also great and friendly.

Tried Joe Burger for the first time because I had heard good things. I got a double cheeseburger combo with bacon. Both the burger and fries were fantastic. My root beer was watery, maybe because it took a while to make the burger? Idk, it was still great overall. Would recommend

I tried Joe Burger last night while doing some Christmas shopping inside County Club mall, just purchased a single Cheeseburger and was instantly impressed by the polite service and upbeat style. The burger was so good that I brought my Girlfriend for dinner tonight!
The meal was presented so exceptionally that I had no need to stage the items for a photograph! I ordered a Double Bacon Cheeseburger combo and it was great! Super delicious. The French Fry portion was very large and the fries themselves were fantastic! 100% recommend and will be back!

We were driving through Nanaimo and this place came up as having some great smash burgers. I am so glad we stopped. The location is kind of odd inside a strip mall but the cashier was super friendly and thanked us for stopping in. The fries had a yummy crispy coating but the burger was my favourite. The burger sauce was so tasty and I really enjoyed the meal overall. They serve Pepsi products and the onion rings looked great too. Can’t wait to return on drive back!

It’s a good place for hamburgers and fries. I have been wanting to try this place out from looking at the reviews and pictures. The hamburgers here are restaurant quality. It’s not among the top best hamburgers I tried but it was pretty solid. Personally I like smash style burgers more but here is more traditional style.
The burger was juicy and full of flavour. The flavor mainly comes from the Joe special sauce which kinda tastes like big mac sauce but way better. I am not a fan of big mac sauce, so the sauce isn’t for me. The next time, I’ll see if they do ketchup and mayo which I prefer. As the Joe special sauce over powers the other flavors of the burger.
The fries were the surprise star of the meal and I’m quite picky with my fries. They came out hot out of the deep fryer. It was hot and crispy goodness! The meal was rounded out with your typical fountain pop. The service was good and I appreciate my food made to order. I don’t mind waiting a bit longer for better quality. If you haven’t gone before, it’s worth giving them a try.

Best Smash Burger in town! Staff is friendly and professional! Food comes out fast and fresh every time. Consistency is key in any restaurant and they have definitely have it. Menu is tight and easy to follow. Great place for lunch with the kids or on your break. Keep up the great work!
