Great place to have food while getting fast service and supporting a local business. Onion rings and cinnamon rolls are a must. The chicken tenders were also great with a tasty crunch and juicy meat.
Atmosphere feels like childhood. I would totally recommend if you want a change of scenery while getting some amazing food. When this place exists—with a drive-thru might I add—I’m not sure how people go to Mcdonald’s.

Jody’s is a fantastic alternative to big chain fast food restaurants. Food is consistently good. Jody burgers are great and you can get them with an array of toppings. I don’t care for their fries (I prefer crinkle cut) but their onion rings make a yummy side. Their strawberry shortcake is delicious when it’s available. They often have special shake flavors that are good.

a classic good food “Dennys” like atmosphere with a big menu.. there is no table service but it is cozy inside the booths.. the Jody Burger can’t be beat even though it is not cheap.. it the shining star is the strawberry shortcake.. out of this world. love the food and the service is excellent too

Thought it was an ” old school” restaurant. Not exactly, you order at the counter & they bring it out. Our food was delicious-harvest salad, Jody burger w/hand dipped onion rings. All the food that came out looked delicious, including the desserts. The atmosphere was a little quiet for my taste.

Ate here a few times. The food is always good and is just what I needed for the evening after a long day. Would highly recommend eating here over the competitor nearby.

The food we got tasted great, but they REALLY need to update their online menu. This was the 2nd time I came from the office (they don’t offer online orders) with an order where I had to get out of line and call the office to find substitutes because there are things on the online menus they don’t offer anymore. Please take it down from your website. Very frustrating.
The grilled cheese tasted good, but why was it sized for a preschooler? I can’t believe I paid that much for a mini sandwich. At first, we thought it was a joke or we got a kid’s meal on accident.
There are lots of choices in Rockford, unfortunately, this one doesn’t make top 10.

Visiting a friend in Grand Rapids Michigan, he insisted on taking me out to Rockford to visit Jody’s for their infamous strawberry shortcake.. and the restaurant didn’t disappoint!
There were plenty of down-home favorites on the menu, reasonably priced, but we decided to go right for dessert…….. The Strawberry and Raspberry Shortcakes have each won awards– and now I know why! Absolutely delicious, with plenty of ice cream, fresh cake, and diced strawberries, it was the perfect replacement for dinner!
When in town — or just want to support a Family-Owned Local Place– stop by this delightful Home Style restaurant- there’s something amazing for everyone.
