The customer service is awesome. The food is 10 out of 10. I had the stew chicken with plantain and rice delicious and the Moimoi. It had a nice spice to it, but not overwhelming. It wasn’t just heat. It was a lot of good flavor so everything was balanced and complementary. Would definitely come back here and tell others if you’re in the area to give it a try it is so worth it.

Sucks that I have to say this but the food was down right inedible. $22 for th smalled container of egusi ever. The beef chunks, I DID Not want or ask for. I just wanted th egusi. The beef was so tough you could put it in a sock and use it as a weapon. The egusi as so many small tiny sharp peices in it, made it so hard to enjoy. GO TO SHABOSS!!!! in capital heights. Stay away from here. To pricey to give small portions and baq quality. Thank me later.

Unfortunately I should’ve stuck to my usual spot that I go to for good African eats instead of listening to ppl on Tik Tok. The Egusi is extremely watery with chunks of what I’m assuming is beef that is so tough it will break your teeth. A bunch of bones that aren’t noticeable so you will be spitting them out and to top it off I specifically asked for rice and received a big ball of some white stuff? I tried the cassava leaf years ago and it was decent. 0/10 do not recommend the egusi but you may have a different experience so try this place if it’s in your stomach to do so.

First time visit!! GOD BLESS YOU!! Every stew is delicious. Bitterleaf with fish & Amala; Isi ewu (goat) with Garri. Hearty, smoky, satisfying!! Looking forward to my next visit.

I ordered the cassava leaf with chicken over rice. The cassava leaf was watery, no palm oil, very fishy tasting. The rice no flavor; i am use to african restaurants serving either jollof rice or jasmine rice. The stew chicken was not peppery or juicy or much of authentic taste. Was very disappointed. All food was discarded and not eaten.

Jodeem Jodeem.
It’s one thing to move to a new land and it’s another to start your own business in a new land. It’s definitely another scenario having a successful business in this new land!
However Mr. Jodeem has achieved this remarkable task.
I’ve been a regular here for several years.
The food is always fresh
The staff is attentive & friendly.
I have so much joy in knowing delicious food similar to food from my original country is right around the corner.
I’m a fan of the fish stew with red sauce. I love the puff puff!
I’ve just been introduced to the pepper soup which pairs well with this time of year.
Thank you Mr. Jodeem and your wonderful team!

Had their oha soup, could be better. But their jollof rice is the star. Quantity could be better. Cos every meal ends up being about $20. But clean place. Ordered rice on Uber eats, but the quantity was disappointing

This is by far some of the best food I have ever had in my entire life. I walked in just to check it out and the owner was super kind. He offered me a small cup sampling a few flavours and I was immediately blown away by the richness, depth and quality of the various flavours I was experiencing. I then asked if he could just make me a big tray full of a few things – kind of like a sampler platter – and I’m very glad I asked for that. Honestly, this is some of the best food in the world. Highly, highly recommend a visit!!!

I love me some Jodeem. This ain’t regular mall food. If you want that keep it moving. My food was a combination of from the already prepared bar and made fresh to order. Large portions and delicious. Fresh food was a wait and worth the wait. Plan your day accordingly or order from already prepared.

I did a delivery order while visiting D.C. and this was my first time trying an African dish. Let’s just say I was not disappointed. The texture and flavor was mouth watering and I love the hint of spice. I order the egusi soup with foo foo, Jolly rice which was served with deep-fried chicken with spinach and a side of deep fried plantains. This was a taste of perfection and I enjoyed it.
