Super hole in the wall spot. The atmosphere is super old school diner kind of feel. Lots of other places try to recreate this but this is the real deal. There are counter spots that have the old school stools & everything. The rest of the seating are booths. The booths are kinda small. You can fit 2 people with plenty of room & 4 people… kinda tight.

The staff was super friendly and very attentive. They kept serving people when they were walking in 15 minutes after closing. They did end up turning people away when they turned off the grill. This place reminded me of the diner I would go with my Grandma.

The food was really tasty. The portions were generous and the milkshake was so good! I had the strawberry milkshake & it’s the best one I’ve had in a long time. Honestly better than Hayward’s milkshakes & their thing is icecream. I recommend getting a milkshake. It’s a huge milkshake. We shared one.

Overall I recommend this place if you’re thinking of an old school diner with good food. I give it 5 stars because it deserves a 5 for a diner. It’s not pretending to be anything other than what it is & they do it well. We’ll definitely be back again.

This is the classic “hole in the wall” place you love to find. Very cool layout – long and skinny, with several booths and a generous counter with classic spinning stools. Everything looks and feels classic small here, from the doors to the tables. We were able to fit a family of 4 in a booth, and although snug, it still worked just fine. Bathroom doors reminded me of the size of an airplane bathroom door.

Food was excellent, served quickly by a friendly staff. Nothing exotic, just good home cooking style. We did breakfast, although the lunch menu looked good, too.

Great retro feel, good food, reasonable prices, friendly and attentive staff.

The 2 women waitresses are great the guy they have working is terrible. Basically incompetent. Tabels always dirty. Messing up orders when you call puts you on hold 10 min. The food is good but the service is terrible

I love the atmosphere of this diner filled with locals. Everyone is friendly and enjoying their breakfast on a rainy Saturday morning. Casual conversations and big smiles.

While scrolling a Local FB page, I saw the question asking about the best local_ Breakfast in town.

Well let me this you this is diamond in the rough!!! I got messy muffin but substituted the English muffin for biscuit. It was AMAZING!! The biscuit was so moist, not falling apart moist. I also got a blueberry pancake oh the side which was also delicious!!! (I opted for real maple syrup!
My Boyfriend got a steak omelet which he loved as well. A

I heard other locals talking about how beautiful it is, compared to before they changed it. Also the server informed them the booths would be changed out soon too.

There are 15 you can sit and grab a quick coffee and take off. Also great spot to run in an grab one their many flavors of Ice Cremamn

10:10a— I’d give it at 9

Great little ‘greasy spoon’ in downtown Nashua, NH. Cheap and to the point. No thrills here, but you’ll get a consistently good meal!

Joanne’s Kitchen is one of those classic hometown diners that instantly makes you feel welcome. Located in a quiet corner of town, it’s the kind of place where locals gather, and you can count on a hearty, satisfying meal served with a smile.

I came in for breakfast on a weekday morning, and the place was already buzzing with regulars. The vibe is cozy, no-frills, and comfortable—like stepping into your grandmother’s kitchen. The service was fast and friendly, and the waitress made me feel like part of the family.

I ordered the breakfast special with eggs, bacon, home fries, and pancakes. Everything was cooked perfectly—eggs just the way I asked, crispy bacon, and golden home fries with just the right seasoning. But the real surprise was the pancakes: light, fluffy, and delicious. Easily some of the best I’ve had in the area.

The coffee kept coming, hot and fresh, and it really completed the experience. Prices are extremely reasonable, especially considering the portion sizes and quality.

Joanne’s Kitchen may not be flashy, but it doesn’t need to be. It delivers exactly what you want from a local diner—good food, great service, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely be coming back soon.

Joanne’s Kitchen Is a tiny hole in the wall breakfast and lunch diner in downtown Nashua. My partner and I recently went for breakfast, and here was our experience.

Items ordered: ham and swiss cheese omelette, home fries with peppers and onions, sourdough toast, sausage links, Irish Benny, bacon

Pros:
•The eggs were cooked perfectly
•The home fries were crispy and flavorful, especially with the peppers and onions
•The Hollandaise sauce was surprisingly good, very creamy and lemony
•The English muffin and sourdough toast were perfectly done as well
•The service was quick and our waiter was atentative and friendly
•The prices were good for the quality of food we got

Cons:
•The atmosphere isn’t great, the place looks kind of grungy and can definitely use updated furniture as well as a paint job and redesign to the outside.

Conclusion: For the price and quality of food, Joanne’s is actually pretty darn good for the area. If atmosphere is a big thing for you, then you might want to look elsewhere because it can be a bit of a turn off.
