EDIT: Also prices aren’t bad at all!! portions sizes are incredible!
NEXT DAY EDIT: Welp we got it again tonight. And guess what, Could not have been any better! They remembered me this time lol!
Continuing to improve in service & food quality. I’m very happy to have given them another couple tries. I even look forward to eating here now. I am particularly a fan of their regular menu & everyday items.
Old review-
I cannot recommend the stroganoff and that’s all that I’ve eaten there so far. I still enjoyed my visit and will visit again to try more of the menu, as they seem to be a popular place, and many of the other food items I saw, looked much better than what I received.
Service is a walk up counter, but your food is brought to you and served on an actual plate with real cutlery. The small window into the dinning area allows the cook to ask questions—which she did— of the patrons.
It’s clean and a little country kitch. Very charming in its own way.
The food was good— it isn’t haute cuisine, it’s diner food. My chili dog was delicious; my only complaint is that it needed slaw. I probably could have asked for a dab, but it was just as easy to snitch a forkful from one of my companions. Speaking of, she got the 2 piece chicken with fries and coleslaw. But the cook thought the pieces were a bit small, so gave her extra. The fries are crinkle cut—and my favorite next to hand cut. And with your fried baloney sandwich, do you want your bread toasted? Do you want mayo? Mustard? Both is fine, too.
The space is a little small, so keep the crowd size to six or seven
This is in a little rural Alabama town, not too far from Montgomery. It’s a pretty area. If you find yourself near, stop in and have a bite. I wasn’t disappointed and I don’t thin you will be either.
