This was my first time here. I’ve heard good things about this restaurant in the past so I decided to try it. The customer service was very good. I ordered over the phone but it did take about 15 min to get my food. I expected my food to be hot but it was warm. The food was ok but I expected better. The macaroni was not good at all. It was cold and it tasted a little bitter I dont know if it was old or had some vinegar in itand it had hardly any cheese. I would give it a 5.

I drive from west Kendall!! I’ve tried a few Hatian restaurants in pompano but nothing compares for me! I used to come to this location years before they closed & reopened with new owners so naturally I came back to check it out & YES; I am hooked!
The portion of food is definitely worth the price, the quality you can tell isn’t old grease or dried out rice. Customer service is great as well!
It’s worth the 54 mile drive for me!!!

I came today and tried fried goat for the first time. My goodness, it was delicious. I came for lunch bit it was so much food, I have some later for dinner. It’s a small place but there are seats outside. Service was great.

This place has become my favorite Haitian Restaurant. This is NOT your traditional restaurant. It is a vintage 1950’s style walk up take your order at the window restaurant. There is nowhere to sit and parking is limited. Yes the wait is long but the food is always worth it. The fried fish with a side order of cold pasta speaks to my soul. P.S. tell her to fry my fish a little longer I love my fish fried HARD. The serving size is one of it’s best attributes. I always have leftovers.

And a year later they are still my favorite Haitian Restaurant. Besides the delicious fish I now love their fried goat as well….

Update:
It’s now 2023 and they are still my favorite Haitian Restaurant. I love their Fried Fish, Fried Goat and my new obsession the Fried Turkey. Again, the wait is long but worth getting freshly prepared food.

First time here, found on Google while in the area.. went there it’s ok not the best most likely won’t be back.. staff didn’t speak English, charged different price other than the menu, no English!! Tried pointing it out, was hungry so still proceeded… was told 15 minutes, more like 5 minutes for my food, nothing was fresh not even at temperature… don’t recommend and won’t be back. But I could say it appears to be authentic Haitian food.

JM’s Takeout is good eating!!! To manage your expectations a bit…. Realize this is good takeout! You’ll have to wait if you order on the spot. It’s best to call it in ahead of time!

The food is cooked to order, always. When you get it, it’s always hot, flavorful and sizable portions. One plate fills two people. I recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed.

To the owner… stay generous! Your goals for greater is on the way! ❤

Me and my husband happened upon this place and decided to give it a try. When we got there the atmosphere wasn’t that inviting. The staff lady did not greet us in a friendly manner. She was not very forthcoming about the prices, although she did say the menu was old. She never told us the prices were different, only there would be some foods they no longer had.
Item showed on the menu $11.50 when she rung it up, it was $15. Smh, the food was not that good for that price. We ordered thw griot and the meat chunks were sooo tiny and aome were chewy. We’ve had much better along with customer service.
Hopefully they get it together, I’m sure we won’t be returning.
