Hands down the best sushi in the entire Kearny area — nothing else even comes close.
We always ordered their sushi and sashimi deluxe and always blown away by how fresh, clean, and beautifully prepared everything was. The quality is always incredibly consistent — every single time we order from them, the fish is top-notch and the flavors and freshness are perfect. Even the miso soup that came with the sushi is great too.
Their service is also fast, friendly, and reliable.
We always finish our meal feeling satisfied, grateful, and impressed. They only offer take outs which is always readily available by the time we got there.
If I could give them 100 stars, I truly would.

Outstanding sushi with tons of flavor. The only reason why this isn’t a 5 star review is the fact that the Pink Lady Roll we ordered smelled very very fishy, so we ended up throwing it out. The rest of the rolls were amazing. The owner or server was very personable and inviting. I will continue to return again but avoid the PLR.

Love J&J sushi! I am no avid sushi eater however I do eat sushi about once a month. I have tried multiple local places and J&J seems to be the only one I return to! It’s small but perfect for a quick lunch! Service is quick,clean and polite! Great for me as I am always on the run! I seem to try something new everytime, which also requires an explanation which they never have a problem helping me with!! Today we tried the firecracker roll with soy bean paper! Highly recommend!! My recommendation for parking is to use the parking garage right next door!! Thanks J&J, I was in and out in under 30minutes and am beyond satisfied!!

I’ve been going here since the place opened. Every chance I get to visit NJ this is the number one spot I visit for good sushi. I’ve never encountered an issue and even when little things happened they have offered to fix it. Very respectful and loving people work behind that counter.
