Had never had zucchini fries or heard of this place. There’s not a spot where I live. Good thing because I might be there weekly for those fries. I was salivating eating them they were so good. Got the fish and shrimp, and that was good too. Cheap spot with good portions. Will definitely be a go to spot when I come back to this area.

First time eating JJs. I’ve heard so many good things about the restaurant so I had to pay them a visit. The restaurant was nice and clean. The food came out piping hot. It has a decent flavor. The hush puppies were my favorite. I wish my fish and chicken were fried a little harder but the overall taste was pretty good. I would definitely return.

I ordered delivery from this location and unfortunately had a poor experience. Two items were missing from my order. I noticed they were underlined on the receipt, which I assume meant they were out of stock, but no one communicated that to me. It would’ve been helpful if they had informed the delivery driver so I could’ve had the opportunity to substitute those items instead of just not receiving them at all.
I’m also frustrated that little cups of mild sauce doesn’t automatically come with the chicken at most Georgia locations. Instead, I received hot sauce and tartar sauce (even though I didn’t order seafood??), but no mild sauce. As a Chicago establishment, some of us who are actually from Chicago expect that traditional JJ’s experience. Customers shouldn’t have to order and pay for a full cup of mild sauce just to get what typically comes with the meal.
Lastly, both the chicken and the pizza puff were EXTREMELY salty, which made the food hard to enjoy. Very disappointed overall.

I was absolutely disgusted when I walked into this JJ Fish & Chicken and saw that they had a leash tied to their condiments. As a paying customer, seeing something like this is extremely upsetting and unprofessional. It gives off the impression that customers are not trusted or respected, and it completely ruined my experience.
There are much better ways to handle condiments and customer use such as providing portioned packets or having staff distribute them if necessary instead of resorting to something this degrading.
Because of this, I will not be returning to this location, and I will be telling others to stay away as well. There are other JJ Fish & Chicken locations that treat their customers with dignity and respect, and I strongly recommend visiting those instead.

***WARNING: BAIT AND SWITCH***
Ordered The Chicken Combo on DD advertised as “Comes with Mac and Cheese Bites”. Whole reason I ordered. Arrived with cold, soggy, limp fries instead. Called restaurant, employee was not helpful. Manager was insanely rude, berated and hung up on me. This is THEIR MISTAKE. False Advertising. Bad Customer Service. Bait and Switch.
DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE

Do you see this plate????? I know you do. This was the most outstanding plate of fried chicken I’ve ever eaten besides my great grandmas. The way the chicken caressed my tongue and slow danced in my mouth until it went down my throat was amazing. If you like fried chicken, shrimp, crab balls, jalapeño poppers, fish, or any food, honestly, go visit them. I get extra seasoning at the table and I season it until I start sneezing.

I chose the drive thru the wait time was bearably given the fact it seems like they were cooking the 2 combo whiting & wings with fries. Same and the usually packet tarter sauces not homemade. The food was so hot. Now, Not too crazy over battered breaded crispy fish fry where little fish is in the battered. I wanted some meatiness remaining, After all it is a franchise of “The original # 1 fish & chicken place in Chicago”. Hush puppy is extra killing the spirit for me…. Cause I was expecting it and was not going to turn around almost reach my destination to buy 2 little puppies. Overall, the food was not at all greasy or salty which is a plus.

Normally when I get food from here, I have no problem. They usually give you a good bit of food at a reasonable price. But lately they have really been slacking. I didn’t pay much attention to it because I know everything is going up, until tonight!!! So this is what they’re doing. I ordered a two piece perch meal as I normally do and this is what I got. One piece of fish cut in half and an abundance of fries. Since when did they start halving the fish but charging full price. Yes, they really cut one piece of fish in half and charged me for a two piece. Count your days jj’s!!!

Review update: Went Friday night & deducted a star. The service was worse than when I went on Wednesday. I tried the wings & corn nuggets. Wings were average & corn nuggets were average as well. I also tried the lemonade, bcuz I read rave reviews about it. While it was good I didn’t want one with the large, germy, space-eating lemon in it. I asked the young lady if they could make one without the lemon in it & she said no, they’re premade. Ummmm, they make them in-house so just make one without the lemon. I was repeatedly told no. If I return, I won’t waste $3 on another lemonade at JJ’s. I’ll just go to Chick-fil-A & get one.

4.5 stars! I went for the first time Wednesday night & I will definitely go back! Service & food were great! I ordered the 2 whole catfish dinner, with fries and coleslaw. The coleslaw was the size of a condiment container, not enough, hence the .5 star deduction. The slaw is good, just tiny. They should offer a larger size for no charge. The catfish was cooked to perfection, just as I ordered. The fries were good. I think the steam from the hot fish in the plastic bag made them soggy but the taste was still good. Overall, definitely worth another visit.
