Winter Reverie
This has been on the radar for quite sometime so the fact that I can now talk about this place, makesmm me happy.

I loved the ambience of the place. The warm colors and wood feels inviting, especially on the cold winter weekend that I decided to go.

The service, for it be not as busy as it was at the time, was on the slower side. We weren’t asked for our preference of table once was were greeted and it took even longer for someone to address the table. Once ordered, one of our two appetizers came out before the main dish (odd.) with any communication as to why and we had to ask again for our drinks. This isn’t a complaint however, our server was polite and appeared to be doing their best.

The food was pretty good. The stand out for me was the Takoyaki, which was to die for! So much flavor and the octopus was delicious!

I wondered the Tokyo Demon Slayer promotion bowl for the collector’s spoon which was in stock!! The ramen inside was good but it could use more flavor so additives such as the seasoning is a much for that one.

Overall, it was a lovely experience and I do plan on coming back to try some of their other bowls (more Takoyaki!).

Just left JINYA Ramen Bar and overall had a good experience. Our server, Rachel, was attentive and kind—she wasn’t originally assigned to us, but she stepped in and really took care of us, which we appreciated.

We ordered three appetizers: the octopus balls were decent (not my favorite flavor-wise), the spicy creamy shrimp tempura was sooo good (A++), and the pork gyoza was my second favorite—you really can’t go wrong with potstickers.

For drinks, I had the Smoky Old Fashioned (the smoke made it taste a bit weird for me) and The Manhattan, which was very good. For my main, I ordered the spicy ramen, but it wasn’t spicy at all and could’ve used more flavor.

That said, I’d still come back to try more items. Service was great, and there’s definitely more on the menu I want to explore. Also, please make a reservation.

I’ve gone here 4 times so far, and every single experience has been great! Ramen always is hot and fresh, love the gyoza and sauce on table to eat it with! Jinya bun is a must get every time! Chicken had the perfect crisp and sauce as well. Always clean here and last time I was there our waitress Nicole served us well. Highly recommend checking out even just for a bun

Decided to come here for a birthday dinner with my family and had a great experience. Nicole was our server and she was wonderful, kind, and very attentive. The service was great and the food was delicious! They also offer several different kinds of ramen on their menu as well as vegetarian options! The add-on option is a blessing too because I love getting an extra egg or protein once in a while. Kaedama! More noodles please! 🙂

MJ at Jinya Ramen was amazing! She took such great care of us from start to finish. Attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect. The takoyaki was absolutely delicious and the Tantanmen were next level! Great food made even better by excellent service. Thank you, MJ! We’ll definitely be back. ✨

This place is 10/10. The initial wait to be seated needs to be addressed because the lady behind the bar with pink hair looked me in my face and never addressed us until we said “Excuse me” but afterwards once we were seated Bri our waitress gave us amazing service!! Food was excellent, spices amazing!! Definitely will try this place again!!

JINYA Ramen Bar – Michigan Opening

I’m thrilled that JINYA has finally opened its doors in Michigan! I’ve been eagerly awaiting this, as it’s genuinely one of my favorite ramen spots in the US. They manage to serve truly authentic Japanese ramen at an impressively inexpensive price point.

The Good Stuff
• My Go-To: The JINYA Tonkotsu Black is absolutely fantastic and my personal favorite.
• Customization: I appreciate that you can customize your bowl and easily make it a combo.
• Service: The staff here is well-organized and friendly enough to make the experience smooth.
• Recommendation: Overall, this is an authentic Japanese ramen restaurant that I highly recommend!

One Request (A Ramen Fan’s Ask)
My one honest critique is about the noodle doneness. For serious ramen fans, I felt the noodles might have been boiled a little too long.

In other JINYA locations, I’ve been able to request specific noodle hardness levels, and I really hope the Michigan location adds this option soon:
• Kata (Harder noodles)
• Hari Gane (Hardest noodles, often boiled for only ~5 seconds, barely shedding the wheat powder).

Adding these options would truly elevate the experience for aficionados.

Final Verdict: Despite the minor noodle preference issue, JINYA delivers on quality, flavor, and value. Go and enjoy some authentic ramen!

The food was delicious! You can get so much for a good price, everything was fresh and served quickly. The Jinya bun was very soft and tasty, the gyoza was super juicy, the shrimp was one of my favorites with the sweet and spicy sauce on top. The ramen was good but lacked seasoning.

I had an outstanding experience at JINYA Ramen Bar. Every single item we ordered was exceptional. The Old Fashioned was perfectly balanced, the Crispy Chicken was golden and flavorful, and the Spicy Creamy Shrimp Tempura had the perfect kick with a rich, smooth finish.

The Spicy Chicken Ramen was packed with bold, well-balanced flavor and perfectly cooked noodles, and the Chicken Chashu Bowl was hearty and satisfying. We ended with mochi, which was the perfect sweet touch to finish the meal.

KEV truly made the experience next-level. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming. His recommendations were spot-on, and his service was seamless from start to finish.

I took my son here for his birthday and the experience and food was 10/10. I truly have to shoutout Bao as he was AMAZING. He was very patient with my son who was trying new things and finding that they’re weren’t ideal for his palette. Bao made sure to exchange his shrimp wonton ramen for him and discussed some other options with him. Even though my son was really picky with the options, Bao was patient and continued to help find something he thought he’d like. He settled on the Birria ramen, which I had as well and literally it was chef’s kiss! My son said 10/10!!! He really appreciated Bao helping him with his choice. The Shrimp tempura was our absolute favorite and we can’t wait to go back for more. If you’re considering JINYA, go!
