Although the ramen here is a bit more expensive than other restaurants nearby, it’s definitely worth the price! Jinya ramen has the richest broth with thick cuts of chashu. I also love that they provide fresh garlic for free! Service was great even though it was quite busy during dinner time.

Stopped by for dinner. We ordered inside and came out to sit by the fire as the weather was nice. Our server was prompt and friendly.

We ordered the Flying Vegan Harvest ramen & was surprised by how much noodles they gave us in it! It was very flavorful and delicious.

Also ordered the J. Girl and Dragon Fruit Fizz mocktails, they were very refreshing!

Really enjoyed the relaxed dining at this location. Definitely recommend this place!

I’m writing this review no more than 30 minutes after receiving our food from Uber Eats this evening. We ordered one wonton ramen bowl….I bit into the wonton and instantly realized that the chicken was completely raw in the middle. We opened the others and realized they were all equally uncooked. I called the restaurant right away and spoke with a manager about the situation to let them know to double check that all wontons are being properly cooked. I’m completely disgusted. The manager, although kind, offered no apology and said “we will look into it, this really doesn’t happen here”. This was once our favorite restaurant at Pike and Rose but we will no longer be ordering from this establishment solely due to the manager’s response. Please do better for your customers…this could have ended poorly had we not caught it right away.

This place is incredible. It’s my go-to spot whenever I’m craving good ramen, and the Jinya Bun on the side is absolutely phenomenal. Honestly, it’s the best I’ve had so far.

The atmosphere is great with an open fire, super cozy. The ramen was high quality and it is fairly priced – avg. 20 usd per ramen.

I work in Pike and Rose, so when I get off work on a Friday night, I’m looking for a balance of convenience and quality at a reasonable price.

Entering Jinya, I instantly noticed it was all one big room. The space includes several booth tables, each able to seat four, many individual tables, which were pushed together for a large party while I was there, as well two high top tables with seating for eight. Not only that, but they have two bar tops, one facing the kitchen and one facing the bar and bartender!

I ordered the yuzu margarita and the wonton chicken ramen. My bartender, Caio, who you can see in my included photos, had a very friendly energy about him and was excellent in helping me select items I ended up really enjoying!

The atmosphere of the place was absolutely great! It felt relaxed, fun, while also obviously retaining a standard of professionalism in food preparation and service.

I will be coming back.

Came here hoping to have miso soup but they no longer have it here. So I got spicy chicken ramen which was spicy but without flavor

Had this on my want to go list for quite awhile. Finally decided to knock out my list and this was the first place up to try.
Happy to say I was not disappointed. Though I’ve not tried many ramen places in Rockville, this one is in my top three so far. The flavors are great. The portions are good. And the service was good as well. Would definitely recommend this one. We will return.

Located in the heart of North Bethesda, this Japanese restaurant offers a solid dining experience with a casual, laid-back atmosphere — perfect for family meals or get-togethers with friends. The service is decent, though it lacks the extra warmth or attentiveness you might find at more refined establishments.

Here’s what we ordered:

Edamame: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A must-have at any Japanese place. Their version was flavorful, but the portion was quite small.

Spicy Creamy Shrimp Tempura: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Highly recommended! The shrimp was fresh, the coating crispy, and the sauce creamy with a unique and delicious aroma.

Crispy Rice with Spicy Tuna: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A great combination of textures — crispy on the outside, soft and tender inside. The spicy tuna filling was flavorful and satisfying.

Impossible Taco ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Surprisingly juicy and full of flavor. A tasty plant-based option that really stood out.

Miso Glazed Eggplant⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Slightly firm on the outside and a bit sweet for my taste, but still enjoyable overall.

Takoyaki: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Soft, savory, and pleasantly delicate. A nice traditional touch done well.

Crispy Chicken⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Although it’s a basic dish, it was really well-executed. The crispy coating and juicy, tender chicken made it one of the standouts of the meal — definitely worth trying.

Tonkotsu Original Ramen⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The noodles had great flavor and texture. The broth was rich, though slightly heavy. Still, a solid bowl overall.

Jinya Nigori Sake ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is the restaurant’s own cloudy rice beer — fragrant with rice aroma, smooth and refreshing. Highly recommended if you enjoy sake-style drinks.

Overall, a pleasant spot for casual Japanese fare, with some dishes that truly shine. Would definitely come back for a relaxed meal.

Literally this place is amazing, from the moment you walk in the door till the moment you walk out with a full belly. The bar has a great twist on drinks, food is prepared perfectly, menu is full of some many options especially for vegans. Whether you’re going online or with a group of 8 this is the place for you!
