Reviews
Onto the food: I ordered their gyoza for an appetizer and it is so delicious, I also love the dipping sauce that comes with it. For my entree I ordered their spicy chicken ramen (mild) with bok choy instead of spinach. I love their bean sprouts that come in the ramen and adding the bok choy adds a nice touch to this dish. The temperature and taste of the ramen are always on point and I truly enjoyed my dish.
I always come back to this location for their great service, delicious food and relaxing atmosphere.
This location is setup extremely weird.
There is plenty of area but you feel like you are sitting in corridor or the storage next to a toilet. No lighting on many tables.
The whole place feels grim and dingy.
They do not have the condiment tray at any of the tables like Jinya usually has at most locations.
The host deliberately tried to seat us next to the restroom with three other tables available and then argued that the other tables were for 4 people while the table he tried to seat us next to the restroom was also a 4 seater table.
Why have tables next to the toilet door less than 6 feet away
He seated another couple next to the toilet with the 4 seater table, despite another empty table away from the toilet.
Something is seriously off about the staff, that they do this.
Meanwhile another waiter rolled the cart away from the tables through the restroom corridor to the back for dishwashing.
Weird setup.
Our waiter was extremely impatient and left within half a second of handing out the menu and visiting our table each time. He did not even let us complete our orders and kept running away saying I’ll be back each time.
They were just two more table dining when this happened. Whole place was empty.
It felt like our presence interrupted him while he was on a very important meeting.
He forgot to punch in our appetizers.
He forgot our forks and desserts.
Everything had to be asked twice.
The main course arrived without the appetizers.
He forgot to get us the toppings we ordered.
Other waiters helped us with the things he forgot and apologized for his mistakes while this person did not bother and gave us a bad attitude despite his mistakes.
He forgot our dessert and then got us the wrong one. Serious incompetence.
Toppings from the menu were missing on every other visit to this location.
The broth was watery.
Toppings were skimpy.
They do not substitute the missing toppings and will charge you full price.
They will ask you pay to for any toppings despite missing many that should come with the ramen.
2.79 for 4oz of spinach! What a rip off.
A 10oz bag costs $2 at Kroger.
The spinach was smelly too.
Jinya should change their pricing for basic toppings that are easily available and not a speciality ingredient.
Franchise locations should not be allowed to set no substitution rules when they do not have ingredients available. They should at the least inform before hand of this policy when they do not have ingredients.
Alpharetta location has excellent service.
The food tastes much much better and vibes are nicer.
Train your staff better.
Duluth has several asian restaurants in the vicinity.
Nobody wants to be ripped off and treated badly while being charged upscale prices for bad ambience and terrible service.
Nobody wants to sit next to the toilet.
Pretty sure it’s a health code violation.
I will not be dining at this place ever again after this experience.
I might not even go to a Jinya location with the bad pricing and policies.
I left a nice tip despite all this.
Sincerely hope they relocate and change their staff or shut down this location.
The atmosphere here is cool and casual. The service is friendly and the dishes we got were delicious. I ended up having JINYA Tonkotsu Black as my dish, and looking forward to trying the other dishes when I come back to one of their locations
